sniper's Account Talk

looks like the timing on your IFT was a good one. daily candle and indicators just swinged bearish after it bounced off the top bollinger. this pullback could be for real, though I don't think it will be in correction territory. market is still strong.

I was an every day 5 miler from age 22 to age 45 - and then I just stopped. Figured I'd worked hard enough running that the heart would get the cumulative effects and so far doing fine. I could always tell when my second wind was kicking in because I didn't necessarily want to stop - but simply realized I needed some stamina for the girlfriend.

I ran the Great Aloha Run too! And I saw this guy.....along with quite a few others in various disguises!

nice! cowman is sort of a local celebrity here with triathlon / marathon enthusiasts, he's even did the ironman (and the swim) with that 3lb cow hat and was disqualified from winning a medal for it. He's supposedly there for every great aloha run, but I wasn't ever able to catch up to him to get a sighting of him until he's almost 70 haha.

Lots of years ago, I was walking up Diamond Head road when several groups of runners passed me. I followed the last group then was jogging with them. We jogged/walked around Diamond Head and ended up at the bandstand. Next Sunday I joined the groups and listened to Dr Schaff talk about running. Seems like he said if you run and finish a marathon, you probably would not die of heart attack. We (hundreds) broke into several groups. I joined in with the beginners group that walked/ran around Diahead Head. Three months later I was running with the group 12 miles. I ran my first marathon later first week in December.

That's my plan exactly! :D
We will start on sundays the first week in March at Kapiolani Park. by dec I should be ready to tackle the Honolulu Marathon. That and if I lose about 20 lbs ! (I figure I can go 26 mi a lot easier without carrying a 20lb sack of rice!!)

good luck! I've been thinking about doing the marathon again this year but unsure if I want to spend that much time running. It's fun, but the moment surf gets good I'm going to drop the running shoes and grab my surf board, that's where my heart's at :)

The running should take care of that sack of rice. Go get 'em. I think the Naha Marathon is that same first Sunday in December, so I'm going to aim for that.

Surfing's fun. I've only done it as a tourist at Waikiki, but I could see getting into it.

ouch, that's quite a bearish engulfing candle if I've ever seen one haha. Will post my move on friday, sticking with the system.

This should shake up the autotracker some :P

Once again I will climb up the tracker off the misery of others, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

still got a couple of trading days left in the week, though this one was a hammer to the balls haha. if anything though some volatility in the market gets me excited as a trader

with that said, i think this dip could be bought tomorrow, today's move already has us near the 20-day SMA level. the bulls aren't going to give that level up easily i don't think.

They might be buying the rumor/news. If so, the buzz word for this week is sequestration. Almost rhymes with castration. Either way it doesnt sound good.

definitely not. if the week ended today I would have gotten the sell signal, but staying true to my system, i only make moves on friday. let the chips fall where they may, it's teaching me a valuable lesson in investing as far as developing the 'dont give a care about what happens from day to day' trait. a year ago today's activity would have had me panicking out of my position. who knows maybe this is easier to swallow because I did ride that rally all the way up, worst case is i'll still get a decent win from that play. but i like to think i'm getting more patient and better at sticking to my game plan.

good luck to all :)

Game plans are good. Learning patience is something I still have to remind myself of. With two ift's and a move by 12 est, I am tested most everyday that I am in the csi funds. And when I'm not in, every big day up is like one more kick to the ribs and my decision making process.
