Oh no...a market crash is coming . Gap down. PPT will be needed or the markets will drop big time Friday. I'm worried that if we can't stop the train we will break right through Novmeber's support and start the whole bottoming process all over again! Unfortunately, the DOW has broken November's low and now S&P and Nasdaq turn to complete the cycle.

I had pain inflicted on me last year but saw this training coming. Thanks god we can learn from our mistakes if we put our mind to it. :)

Great job Show-Me, profit is profit and now you can relax and re-evaluate from the sidelines. :D

Are you thinking about your next trade yet?

I am getting into a position of holding for a while.

My 13 year old son slipped on the ice December 26 and compressed his T-12. That was not the worst it also destroyed all the ligament. He has been in a brace the whole time. The follow up was bad and surgery was recommended. Going to fuse 2 or maybe 4 vertebra, but the Doc said he could go back to sport in 12 to 14 months.

I searched the internet and asked my cancer RN and found the best spine fusion surgeon in St. Louis. He is the head of the department and only does spine fusions. Good training, nationally known, writes text books, Professor at Washington U, which is the Harvard of the Midwest. Barnes Jewish osteopathic department is ranked eleventh in the nation according to US New and World Report.

So, have laptop will travel. Minimum five days in the hospital. Preop on Monday and surgery on Wed.

So, I will not be completly off the grid but living out of a bag in St. Louis.

Looks like FAZ has some legs now that I am out. That is OK, I need to be out of shorts for now.

Best of luck and best wishes for a successful procedure for your child, Show-Me.

... good luck w/FAZ, too. :)

Thanks Minnow, I'm done with FAZ for a week or two. Short require daily attention and I do not know if I will have that kind of time or access.

I will be watching one play, UCO.

I will take the laptop and I will watch the market. I just won't spread myself out to much.

Once we get settled I will probably have a ton of time on my hands.;)

Show-me,

Hope all goes well in St. Louis. Sounds like you have found a good Doc.

Best of luck Showme.

As for shorts, once we got oversold, I was done. Waiting to go long now. Besides, posting at TSPtalk takes up too much of my time.:D

I'll be wishing good thoughts for your son Show-me. It's so hard when it's your child, but it sounds like he has one of the best. :D

Thanks everyone!

I'm actually thinking of putting a toe of my TSP into the market. Bear market Friday, good buying for DCA.

Wishing you and especially your son all the best of luck! I've, personally, been in spinal fusions and they are a lot of constant pain. Since he's still young (13?) he could make a full recovery. If possible get him as much therapy as possible and to try to keep exercizing! I'll say this, they told me "Make pain your friend welcome him into your life" and it worked. My doctor was the head of back surgery at Georgetown Hospital and that was a big +, also. :D
