I agree 100% Show-me and it's a sad state of affairs and we're just a little over a month before the socialists take over the head of our new government.

The pols did ignore the will of the people on this. I'll keep my powder dry, cause I see much worst things in the future. :(

A helping hand from the government is the best solution - we cannot let the at risk population drown. More foreclosures will only drown the rest of us. Read my post by Ann Coulter for further details - we know who to blame this mess on. And another one in the White House will lead to another debacle.

IMHO, Just the markets' way of sending a discrete and subtle message to the politicians to get this thing finalized..

I take it as a sign that bill or no bill, we are going down more. Surely everyone already knows it is going to pass?

I would venture to guess that the OSM are not happy about nationalizing yet another firm and they have come to the stark realization that there are more to come.

Bail out bill is a sham and I will send another message to my representatives. Executive compensation was not capped just the elimination of the "golden parachute" and no tax advantage over $500k salary. Just something to appease the little people.

Market not looking as if they like the bill at all. My instincts did me good as I sold my IRA positions in SSO. Politicians can screw up a wet dream comes to mind.

Still holding my C fund position and waiting for IRA funds to settle.

It could very well be a bull trap, my vision does not allow me to see clearly that far out. I am hearing bear market rally and then down to the mid-900's for the S&P.

This would align the stars for a election year rally and a drop when the new President takes office.

Oscar is putting out a good argument for a rally and a drop.

So they will allow the evil naked shorts back on Thurs? - after the "Deal" is done on Wed?

They will probably extend the ban on short selling, perhaps until the election is over. But in the mean time, don't be surprise if they start calling stock sellers evil or un-American.
