Since we started this forum using different software, you may not have been taken to his actual first post. Some of the imported posts may not have shown up in the VB searches.I went to Spaf's account and read his first post.
Good words Mlk!!In loving memory of the best moderator TSPTalk has ever had,to include myself, I reveal my identity for all to see. Although I may get banned again, I do it in Spaf's honor. He knew who I was and trusted me to keep my nose clean and unconfrontational.
God bless him and his family.
Tom, that was a very lovely thing you and the other moderators did.

Spaf was a Vietnam helicopter pilot and every time he dropped into a hot LZ he was saving lives. He made it home when 58,000 didn't and I suspect that helped define who he was.
Thanks Tom. This was the one I was able to get to, 2005 something. It just seemed to define Spaf. I hope his quote doesn't upset anyone. His good days are just starting in his new location.Since we started this forum using different software, you may not have been taken to his actual first post. Just in case, I believe this is Spaf's first post from Aug 2004...

Spaf,
Rest in peace, you have earned it many times over!
TSPTalk moderators,
Wow, what a wonderful and thoughtful thing to do. Makes me proud to be associated with people of this character.
Thanks, Steve
He saw the good in everyone and reminded us often.
Um Tom, What don't you get?:suspicious: Makes Perfect sense to me....:nuts:I have to admit that I did not always know what Spaf was talking about. ...

I'm sure there was some wisdom in it, but I'd be like... huh? He cracked me up.![]()
