Well, that one hurt... sort of. As usual, I'll simply remain patient for a recovery. It may come as soon as tomorrow on "Turn-Around Tuesday."

God Bless! :)

And yes, indeed... the recovery (and then some) arrived today!

This is precisely why I do not set stops... which can force a realized loss. If I incur an unrealized loss, I simply wait for the recovery... no matter how long it takes. I remember a few years ago being down over $40K on AMZN. I eventually made a realized gain on that trade... just by waiting it out.

Because I have never set a stop on any of my trades so far in 2025, I have a realized loss of only $443.45. Now, compare that with my realized gains of well over six figures so far for 2025!

If I would have sold my "stinker stocks" when they were highly in the stench, I would've realized losses in the tens of thousands so far for 2025.

Speaking of... These are currently my "stinker stocks" (an unrealized loss of 10% or more) and their unrealized losses as of after-hours, today:

CAVA: -24.99%

BLSH: -24.94%

FIG: -24.18%

TTD: -16.29%

CRWV: -14.66%

IONQ: -11.03%

AMC: -10.15%

Now, witness how I eventually turn these unrealized losses into realized gains... ;)

God Bless! :)

My YTD return (realized gains) for my brokerage account:

+35.81% (+35.05% + today's +0.76%)

God Bless! :)

CRWV... DONE!

Sold @ 89.68 for a +0.65% gain.

On 20 Nov, I was down -22.33% on CRWV. Just another example of how patience will turn an unrealized loss into a realized gain!

God Bless! :)

'You don't have to get it back where you lost it.' A stop loss can preserve the majority of the capital invested, which can then be re-deployed to a better position which is rallying. Has to do with the time value of money, one can let funds sit in the hopes of a recovery and in the process lose the potential gains that could be had elsewhere. I've done both, many considerations to go down one path or the other.
