Remember

I saw a movie the day before Memorial Day....HBO...titled "Taking Chance"....Kevin Bacon as a marine LT volunterred to deliver a 'fallen soldier' to his home town. During the trip he saw the respect given for the fallen soldier. It was quite a moving movie....quite sad really of those already gone! I highly recommend the movie. Sometimes I wonder though if it's all really worth it. Maybe that's not the best thing to say....but I'll say it anyway. We must really think before we involve our people to fight for others rights. My era was Vietnam...what a mess....what a body count...and in the end...it didn't matter. I know the middle east Iraq/Afganistan is different...but still I wonder...is it really worth it...I suppose those people will care...I hope they care....that we sacraficed many soldiers for their lives and their future.
