[h=3]Ongoing OPM's huge problem. I received a letter from OPM last week advising me to sign up with CSID, a temporary freebie for next 18 months; the letter included a pin number to obtain their security services. Article from "FederalSoup". Read on.

As anticipated, scammers apparently have started using the Office of Personnel Management offer of identity protection services for victims of the data breach to launch email "phishing" expeditions to trick recipients into sharing personal information.
The U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team, or US-CERT, which is part of the Department of Homeland Security's National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, posted a notice on its website warning of the scam.
"US-CERT is aware of suspicious domain names that may be used in phishing campaigns masquerading as official communication from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) or the identity protection firm CSID. "Https://opm.csid.com is the legitimate domain used by CSID, which is responsible for identity protection services for those affected by the recent data breach.

"US-CERT recommends that users visit the OPM website for more information. Users are also encouraged to read US-CERT's guidance on avoiding social engineering and phishing attacks and report suspicious emails."

One of several responses in article was:
I have yet to sign up because a pin number is given, which should be a link to personal information. But then, all of our personal information has to be re-entered. Does not seem like a good plan to me, when our info has already been violated.

I have to agree with that. OPM really hasn't done anything for us except put our PII into the hands of yet more people to compromise or lose. Why is it we are always held accountable for the inept actions and stupid decisions of others?

With the strong USD, I would've been better off leaving my money in cash...

All kidding aside...

I am done trading, all I ever do is lose money... I will track and watch, but TDA will get no more of my fees...

Good luck to all...

So, will be out of touch because I am at the southern most point of the lower 48...
Market... Rounded top?
Are there enough of the retail investors in the market to convince the institutions to start selling off? Hmmm...

Have a great week!!

RMI: Are you in Key West? if so, I hope you enjoy some of the great restaurants there. That place knows how to serve up great drinks and great food...and the sun's not so bad either.

We stopped by Fogarty's Saturday night, my wife loved the Pain in the @$$, and the Shrimp Bacon Club. I had the Pecan Encrusted Mahi Mahi and although it was small (I'm a big guy), it was definitely tasty... topped off with Key Lime Pie !!

Checking it out as a possible next duty station, so its not all play :(

Sounds absolutely delicious! There was a great restaurant called Eddie's Backyard that my wife and I loved when we were there a few years ago. Great place to enjoy sun and fun. I think Key West would be a good duty station.
