RealMoneyIssues' Account Talk

Seems like a down market brings out the "best" in people...

very, Very, VERY interesting reading on the forums this evening...

Me, I am just trying to ignore the pain in my accounts...

Whatever you do, don't go to Missoula. You may lose more than you bargained for. :D

Just not seeing strength in the market... buying is getting sold into... More sellers than buyers...

So, looks like I am now an investor... at least its easier on the emotions.

Hmmm... IWM back tested yesterdays close... if we get a few (that is 3 for us old folks) green 10 min candles, we might actually move higher into the close...

If not, well, the selling IS still continuing. At some point, there won't be any buyers...

Edit: It was also close to the lower BB and was the 78.6 Fib retrace from the recent pop... Uh, shouldn't have said anything, looks like this candle is going to close red... yup, closed red, we're screwed

Looks like its going to get ugly again... you would think as bearish as I normally am on the economy I would be short right now... was hoping for a bounce, but as usual, the market doesn't care...

HFT this...

Yup, don't want to see my dollars ticking away, heading to bed. Have fun and I hope this doesn't drop too much farther or I will be back to 0 for the year... figures. I wish I had 40 years like BT so that I could just do the dividend DCA thing and be a multi-millionaire like BT... oh, wait, I didn't start saving until I was 40... a lack of time can cause you to take on a lot of risk, for me, it has cost me...

Venting done

Nevermind, still need to vent... I should just burn my money. Ok, time to take some ZZZ-quil and try to get some sleep... grrr

It looks like Tom nailed it last night, when he commented that it might be good that the futures were down instead of up. He speculated that if we were up at the open, it might not hold.

Patience brother....This too will soon pass.

uh, riiiiight...

Her Q and A could be worth another 75 points to the rally today - taking us to +190 on the Dow - just wait for it.

Does anyone know (aside from waiting for end-of-day-cob prices) how to determine if the dip buyers are buying? Any specific indicators to watch? Tia.

Aside from assuming that (intraday) rising prices means folks are buying the dip:); you could probably use a real-time sentiment indicator.

Level 2 quotes should also help:cool:
