RealMoneyIssues' Account Talk

Its been a long 5 weeks in school. Happy to be heading home, but I can't seem to get any rest (yes, its 2am). I think tomorrow is going to be a long day, full of Diet Pepsi...

I know that heading home means only 2 1/2 weeks at home before deploying overseas for a year+ and I know it is going to feel like a very short time... too short

Thanks to everyone for listening... I rant, I rave, but y'all still listen. Thank you

RMI, Seems you have had a rocky last few months but I'm glad you're back and posting...
Good luck on your deployment, be safe and I hope can rest up and relax the next 2 1/2 weeks..
I have had a very rough time in the Markets the last six months but am seriously trying to maintain
a life balance. If I were broke tomorrow, I would still have a full life; good health, loving wife, family and friends,
that is true happiness..

That leaving the family all the time BITES. You have to be close to retirement, an escape is in the future, hang in there.:)

Enjoy your short time at home Mr Swabbie and please know I send that interservice insult with the best of intentions. If nothing else it may distract you for a short while as you hopefully grin and lift a finger of friendship to a former zoomie, jr birdman or whatever else you can come up with.

Sometimes the here and now sucks but it will be the past before you know it. Rest assured we all appreciate what you are doing. Stay safe.

PO

I sometimes lose track of who does what but hope I got the service right. If not you get the idea.

Thanks everyone, even the Air Force folks ;)

I just thought I would stop by and do a little reading after watching a movie with the family. The better half still has to do her lesson plans for next week, so I do have some time free; however, most of that time is getting ready for my HHG packout on Monday. I am also making sure I get all the little things done and ready so that all the things I normally take care of are automated and or easier (I guess I am trying to make it easy for me to be gone... is that a bad thing?).

Have a great week-end!!!

(I guess I am trying to make it easy for me to be gone... is that a bad thing?).

no, that is life. tooth and nail, every day. every day vertical is a good one. do you not trust your heirs and assigns to perform in your absence? it takes a team, even if you can identify flaws and things not perfect, you are flawed and imperfect too. life is what you make it, but you have to decide to live it, every day, even the unpleasant ones.

it helps if you can laugh in its face.

Hi RMI....Ditto on that. Thank you for your service RMI to our country! Wishing the best for you and your family. Take care and may God bless you!! DBAnnie

Thanks everyone!!

I usually just pass through, read a few key threads and head back to the honey-do list... right now, the top of that list is possibly buying some lake front property for a future retirement home... truly amazing how long it takes to do all the research, etc for buying lake front 2+ hours away from home... oh, well, if everything works out, the time is well spent.

The market right now is meandering with no definitive direction...
if you ask the bulls, we will see 2400 by the end of the year...
if you ask the bears, we will see 925 by the end of the year...
When lurking around here and other places I see a lot more bulls than bears... which makes me think we have too much bullish sentiment in the retail trading environment to get much more of a bid... If everything was so great, we should be able to get above 1850 with ease, yet it hasn't happened...
Is it possible that the retail investor is getting sucked into a bullish institutional sell off?

Not sure here, but I will be going to G NLT Tuesday as my market access will be unknown after that...

So, if I don't stop by before then, good luck trading to all !!!

Wow

Bulls WINNING...

Interesting, I guess good data is good news and bad data is still good news

Have a great day, time to go see the lake property with the Ranger and get our questions answered!!

Lake property in retirement!! Fishing in the morning and afternoon in your own back yard! LOVE IT!

Not going to happen today. By the way try and not collect those darn sand fleas. May your time fly fast.

I see RMI is kicking butt this year. He must be in a more positive mood now.

Possibly, but would like smaller draw downs before actually making money... that is literally just a timing issue.

I guess as long as the trade is profitable, does the draw down matter...
psychologically, yes...
financially, no...

BTW, CNBC is yelling everywhere "I would buy this dip"

They are so predictable...

Mom & Pop are screwed... they don't have a chance.
