RealMoneyIssues' Account Talk

Has the rotation started? "Friday's declines in bond prices come after investors pulled about $60 billion in June from mutual funds that focus on bonds. That was the most in any single month since the record was kept in 1961. The rout has left investors unsteady about where to put their cash." I can tell you where to put yours. Are you ready to listen?

Yes. Tell us oh wise one !

Futures are higher by nearly 0.5%

R2K is almost at its all-time high and if small caps lead in a strong market, the bears are in trouble...

VIX is taking another nose-dive...

Why do I bother?
Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm getting awfully close to capitulating (chasing gains), and I'm going to go on vacation in the next two weeks. Both are sure fire signs a correction will be soon to follow.

Low volume can skew futures, would not be surprised to see them drop over next couple hours before the open. You made valid points a couple posts back and Europe up today could be a dead cat bounce that will fade before their close.

Thanks for posting on my new account talk thread. As I mentioned in my account talk, went 100%G on Friday and I have another IFT if I was wrong.

Heck I'll take anything at this point... have fun on vacation!!

True on the low volume, but it still shows initial market direction on open... If it gets sold, GOOD... if it continues up, I may have to sell and just sit on the sidelines and lick my wounds and re-evaluate my trading system...

We are going through the roof today folks.;)

I hate you...

j/k

I hated to open my spreadsheet this morning, down just under 14% on this latest trade... If we hold current gains, I am going to cash and taking a break. I am tired of losing money...

Congrats Bulls, looks like you won...

sounds like capitulation?? Im with you though, frustrating market on both sides. :/

Thanks RB for joining SaveUp.com !!!

It is a fun way to keep track of your savings and debt payoff... oh, and you can win $$$ ($75 so far for me)

This reminds me when I was getting smashed in the 2008 bear - I just never went bearish and kept the faith that it was all just nonsense. I even dumped more money into the hole at the bottom buying anything that was toxic and it was the right thing to do. I'm still getting benefits for that show of courage as my net worth expands.
For those of us that didn't blink life is good and getting even better. The current mega trend secular bull market has years to run and will smooth over any mistakes, so cheer up and get invested.

This has been the least respected bull market in history. The best thing possible for the bull to continue. Keep despairing guys, while the believers eat your lunch. Now is a great time for me to sit back and enjoy the dividends I bought into a few years ago. There is still plenty of time to take positions. Based on history, with interest rates this low, stocks have room to climb nearly 100% from today's levels - can you imagine the wealth creation to come. A Dow of 29,779 in 4 years seems silly to some, but to me it's freedom.

if it helps, I have decided to move 75% out and wait for the drop.

I bought tza as at 28.50 based on your capitulation. Don't always follow one single system with TSP and trading account. The trading account gives you immediate transactions and more flexibility. The TSP has been hard to trade in this Bull market. I'm ashamed to say I'm down for the year by trying to time it and going against my gut. Good luck.

You may be a tad bit biased.
