Explaining this to this those who want to play only in tepid waters. Well. This is a blood sport and now we have the nay sayers. These waters are now a little on the hot side. This is a bull market and it will boil for some time, a few more days maybe, before breaking like a fever. When it does there will be only clear skies ahead for those who've weathered the storm. Back in 1979 when the Pittsburg Pirates were playing the Orioles for the world series, I watched Pittsburg play great for the entire regular season and put my money on that teem to beat the Orioles, which they did. For me, there is no difference here. This is a sport that rewards those who've done their homework. I know this market, I can smell victory. There are winners and there are losers. This is no time to sit, adjusting your sights, and wait for it to come to you. You've got to stay with it, push against the foe, push against the weak minded, until the market breaks, for higher ground. You may say, "JJ, you must have a lot of money and can afford a possible loss." Let me tell you all. I've lost so much because the market outsmarted me. This time I'm the brick wall. I'm standing pat and when the market hits 1600, I'll have myself a beer. Till then, this is a battle and I'm prepared to hit back hard, and to stay with it untill I see nothing between me and 1600, 1650, then 1700. SPX futures are up for tomorrow last time I checked.Being right or wrong at today's critical juncture will make or break your entire year - c'mon aboard. It's only the little guy, who doesn't understand what has just happened, that continues to fight the trend change. This is when you start seeing the technicians calling for this or that resistance level or trend line to put a halt to the rally - not going to happen anytime soon. Snort. Please gimmee more pessimism.
WOW Well put JJThis time I'm the brick wall. I'm standing pat and when the market hits 1600, I'll have myself a beer. It's more exciting to be "there" knowing, sometimes watching what the market is doing. When you're all in, it can put an impulse going through you. Just so it doesn't force you to do anything dumb, like get out when the going is good. Like pursuing a love interest, you've got to be on your "bead", on top of your game. The weak will soon fall away. The spoils go to the those that can retain a sense of tension without it disturbing your investing system. For me, it comes back to health. How healthy are you to be strong enough to not let the downs shake you from holding on to the prize. The prize may be hidden underneath some unsavory outer coating, but underneath the prize awaits. Today, this morning, it is trying to push people off the gravy train. Hang in there.Remember, when it comes to investing, nervousness is your friend, comfort your enemy.
Hey, i'm tied with you, be proud it's not over until the end of the year! View attachment 22929
Our friend Obama wants the markets to do well no matter what, so we need to take advantage of the situation no matter what the cost are. In the end if the spending is not stopped we Will be screwed. Inflation is starting and will eat us alive, so invest all you can while you can because the dollar will not be worth crap in the future and your money won't buy crap. How's that retirement looking? For 2013 stats yes, but a moving 12 month period, it isn't looking so good![]()
