Yeah, I was just kiddin'. :D Been taking in all the info I can the last couple days trying to decide the prudent move. I experiment with my wife's 401. :cool:

I got that. While some investors may worry about losing money by jumping into an uncertain market, there's just as much risk in missing out on profits once the market reverses to the upside. Our mutual friend amoeba says "I'm not buying it. This rally ain't going to shake me from being more cautious on risk assets for the first half of 2013." When he capitulates - we run for the door.
 
Markets are down a little as a response to the low GDP number, but the ADP numbers (a precursor to the job numbers on Friday) are over-riding...

Just waiting for the dip buyers to take over and up, Up, UP !!!

Many bloggers talking consolidation - when all the experts and forecasts agree - something else is going to happen. Balanced sentiment prolongs any bull's ultimate life.
 
A bit nervous about february. One day left to get out or stay in.

Looked at the february seasonality and it has never looked so glum to me. Maybe take my 5-6%, if I can keep it, and wait til february 28th to get back in. I really dont see indicators that are telling me to stay in longer. It has been a good month and a half for about 10% or more upside. I captured about 7% of it so.
 
Birch tree, you are the consummate optimist. I have yet to really see you tell people to run for the hills. Big losses or big gains don't scare you nor bed news. So what does? I'm trying to lock in some gains. It seems easier with my tsp then with my vanguard mutual funds. With those I tend to just add money when the market dips.

Take over my tracker spot? Not happening today. Unless the s fund drops the way the I fund might. Maybe you'll be saved by the Asian market but the European markets a loss.
 
relax birch is the permabull on these boards, if he ever says run for the hills, then ****'s REALLY hit the fan, lol.

if you look at his tracker history, i don't think he's ever put anything in the G or F fund. but i wouldn't take what he says personally, it's all fun and games to most here
