RealMoneyIssues' Account Talk

Perhaps only if you own the S fund.

Only if your long in this market...

Or, contrarily, like you, have more cash to spend on all these bargains...

I know it will eventually go up; really, I do... It's just a matter of when that will finally happen. I have time; patience is what I am short on... :D

Oddly, Citigroup was up 3.3% today. Not even close to even for me, but I'll take what I can get.

Still waiting for the rebound everyone is talking about :D

Well, we got a one day rebound that was very refreshing. The markets bounced about 1.5% each and TNA bounced over 6%. I am still low on all my long positions, so I hold until I can at least break even, or have to run for cover if there are indications of lower lows...

Futures are down this morning. One indication I use (ie someone else) is in a sell condition, but not in a short condition; and although I saw that I still bought a few shares of TZA (R2K 3x short) assuming the markets would be down today. My SDIRA is nearly even for the year, TSP is up 2.33%.

We could all use a good bull rally but no one that I listen/watch/read have talked about any good indicators to confirm it. Most analysts are on the fence as the markets consolidate while the bulls and bears fight for dominance. I hope (our PermaBull BT knows) that our bull market will continue, but for now, I will try to swing trade ups and downs in the market to make-up for my losses so far. I can't see the markets getting back to their early May highs for weeks, so I want to try to make some money while on the way up.

Good luck everyone!

YEAH!!! Another down day...

Hmmm, I think I am somewhere between Capitulation and Depsondency.

With no money available to trade, I guess once I get past Despondency and before I hit Depression, I won't be able to take advantage of the Point of Maximum Financial Opportunity :D

It's time to check your BORK.

Oh, I never bought it. If I had, I would have sold as soon as it went over $5. I would have never intended to hold it for long.

I don't have the heart to email the guy I got the tip from to see how he is doing... I know he bought more at $4.90 :(

We can't win for losing...

C Fund: -0.65% (S&P 500 Index)
S Fund: -0.51% (Wilshire 4500 Index)
I Fund: -0.99% (EFA ETF)
F Fund: -0.08% (AGG ETF)

So, maybe we could have won in the G fund today... sheesh

I like that Emotions Cycle thing.

If that's correct all I have to do is get out of stocks when everybody (me too) is feeling euphoria, like this bull is gonna never end, right?

and buy shares when everybody that stayed in stocks during a big loss is saying they've had enough
or are running for the hills.

Damn, Im gonna be rich. :D

are you still in TNA/ s fund? doesnt look good for bull this morning

Yes, but only minimally. I first entered on a long signal June 1st... so, at a price of 81.38 it's going to be awhile before I get that back :(

I am almost 50% in SPXU at 16.56, and with this mornings futures at 17.42 I am doing good at over 5%; now to figure out when to get out.

If the markets gap, will SPXU start going down to fill the gap over the day?
The jobs report was higher than expected, so I figure the markets will continue to lower, but for how long? Futures have the S&P down 0.8% at 8:25am and the Dow down 0.65%

We'll see

Well, I set a target stop at 17.75 and just stopped out for a total gain of 7.02%. Even though I think the market will continue to go down (and SPXU up) I figured I would just wait the market out for 3 days (aka settlement time) and see where to go from there.
