Second IFT for Nov submitted. 100% G Fund COB 11/24/17

After setting new highs this week, me thinks market goes down a little next week.

Good luck everyone!:D

Okay, so my crystal ball let me down this week and I missed a nice run up to the tax reform vote. That said, I'm jumping back in COB today with an IFT of 75% C Fund, 25% S Fund.

Deploying sticky pants with this one as I will be out of pocket next week in a location where internet will not be available.

Good luck everyone!!!:D

So I'm back from a well deserved vacation. Spent last week aboard a cruise ship to attend the "High Seas Rally" Warm temps and adult beverages at my beckoning call. Had a blast, but now it's time to get my head back in the market.

So the good news is that while I was away, my TSP account grew by 0.56%. It could have been better, but the S fund dragged it down a little. Congress just announced that they have come to an agreement between the House and Senate tax bills, so the market should like that.

So it's good to be home again. I need to recuperate from all that partying and start rooting for the Santa Rally to begin. If I remember correctly, the 2016 Santa Rally was cancelled due to a rate hike, so we are due.

Good luck everyone!:D

Raven out!

Hoping everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that Santa was extra generous to everyone.:D

Submitted my 2nd IFT for December today, changing from 75% C Fund, 25% S Fund to 40% S Fund, 60% I Fund.

It appears the C Fund has run it's course for December and may be topping out. S and I Funds have been lagging the C Fund all month and with passage of the tax reform bill, S Fund appears to be the most beneficial. That and projections that the dollar continues to drop against foreign currencies bodes well for the I Fund. Anyway, that's what my crystal ball is telling me. It has been good to me all but a few times this year, so we will ride it into 2018.

Good luck everyone and Happy New Year!!! :fest30:

Let's hope it keeps going up. I'm tired of the flat days we've been having around the traditionally positive days surrounding Christmas.

Looks like your Ravens are going to the playoffs if they win out against the Bungles this week. Can't wait for the playoffs to start.

Never an easy task playing the Bungles. They have won 5 out of the last 6 meetings, so there is no guarantee. If they do manage to get in I don't expect them to get very far. The defense has been stellar all year but without a vertical passing game we become one dimensional and that is never good. Then again, there are 20 other teams sitting at home, wishing they were in the Ravens shoes. Whatever happens, it's gonna be fun...

Yeah, I really like watching the Ravens play because of their style of football. But, the offense has been less than stellar this year.
I really thought Flacco would step up this year.

Past 3 or 4 games Flacco and the offense has looked quite a bit better. He doesn't look like the same QB that started the season, much more mobile and confident going down field. Running game looks decent even after losing two starting guards (losing Yanda sucked). Just depends if they can get hot like the last SB run. Seems the defense is sputtering a bit now that the offense has come to life.

Yeah, Bengals got us last year on the last day of the season if I remember. Hopefully it'll turn out differently. Can Joe Cool play well in "sub-cool" weather?? Sure hope so. I still have fond memories of him in that Denver game with that pass to Jacoby Jones. That was like 5 degrees..

I agree with Jonfresno. The past few games Joe has been "old" Joe...as in Play-Off Mode Joe. The defense has been the disappointment. Kinda like how last year in Pittsburgh turned out like this year in Pitt...Defense couldn't get off the field.

The good news is how well we hung with em...right to the end. The team-that-will-remain-nameless win last week was just a messy game all the way around-but to be expected based on conditions.

They remain the team to watch out for.

Yeah I think the defensive woes started with the loss of Jimmy Smith to a season ending knee injury. Marlon Humphrey has been good this year but he is no Jimmy Smith. Collins and Allen have been good at running back but our wide receivers have been disappointing all year, so they need to step it up for us to have any chance in the playoffs. Joe Cool has done it before and he is certainly capable of doing it again. Looks like we will be facing the Chiefs in the wildcard round and if we can get past them, then it will either be the Steelers or Patriots. That would be awesome to knock either of them out...:smashfreakB:

Go Ravens! :D
