It has been some time since I last posted the Best Fund/Worst Fund. This past year has not been kind to ravensfan. In July, I lost my wife after a four-and-a-half-year battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) or better known as Lou Gehrig's disease. By then I just didn't care about anything, including my TSP account or posting. But, because of a great support group of family, friends and an awesome Pastor I am learning to live without my wife. I was blessed to have her for 46 years and I was honored to care for her until her passing.
Have a great evening
ravensfan. Sorry for your loss. The hardest part is not having that special person by your side. I lost my wife to cancer last November after an 11-month battle. We were married 42.5 years and she was part of my life for 43.5. It's hard to believe it will be one year next month. Family and friends are important and I'm fortunate as you are that they are there.
Thank you Nasa and I am sorry for your loss as well. I guess more than anything you understand what I am going through, because you have walked the road I now travel. Totally agree with the hardest part is not having that special person by your side. I think the holidays will be the toughest but there are many reminders of our losses. For instance, the first time I went to a restaurant, and I had to tell the hostess "party of one". Stay strong my brother and thank you for your support.
