Stocks rallied again on Thursday as Janet Yellen's confirmation hearing continued in Washington and investors liked what they heard. The Dow gained 55-points and we saw green in all of the TSP funds, including the bond fund.

The S&P 500 gained another 0.5% yesterday and making another new high in the process. This looks like we could be starting a new leg higher, but it is in a big rising wedge formation, which are generally bearish.

The Nasdaq popped its head into new high (52-week) territory yesterday, but this index lagged as Cisco's weak earnings and 11% on the day, held the index back some..

Despite the S-fund being up, the small caps of the Russell 2000 were down yesterday. The S-fund actually consists of small and mid-cap stocks. The Russell is trying to get back to the highs it created in October. In a bull market we'd prefer to see the small caps outperforming as we've seen most of the year.

The dollar closed flat on the day and may be completing a bull flag formation. The recent pullback is about to test the 20 and 50-day EMAs, and should they hold, it looks like the bull flag may indicate another push higher is coming.
