Well, hello to all and sincerely best wishes to all with everything that is important to make us better individuals. I have been a TSPtalk member since perhaps 2004-05; I have posted very little, my job was in the outdoor setting with no access to internet, had to be in the field before 10:00 am Mountain Time, in other words, just had time to quickly lurk and make IFT's by shadowing Tom's moves as well as other members back in the day when there were no premium services. I did join Ebbs's premium service for a few months but had to bail out due to financial issues. After 28 years in the Govt (FERS) I decided to retire; life just got a bit too overwhelming for me. I am a combat Vietnam Vet with a nasty PTSD condition, and my service connected physical injuries finally caught up with quality of life in general. I was fortunate to bail out with 350K in my TSP account, I know I should have been wiser and perhaps should have more but I was a late bloomer and rather ignorant regarding the stock market. I am grateful to Tom and this web site, without you guys I would probably have much less in my account. I had no strategy; as I mentioned I just shadowed Tom's and other member's moves and fortunately I did make some nice gains. So thank you all for the time it takes you to post your opinions, suggestions, videos, charts etc etc. Now I just need to take care of myself and continue therapy for mentioned personal issues. Now I have more time to lurk and read all comments and learn. To all the new young Civil Sevice employees with 15-20 or more years before you retire I am glad you have started working on your TSP account, you will be so much better off when your retirement day approaches. Thanks Tom, and best regards to all you Vets young and old. God Bless.
