The past two QE's were initiated while the market was in a swoon. We're currently around 100 points in the S&P 500 from all time highs but the fed is trying to dump more nitrous in the tank. What will they do when the market falls 8-10% and retirees start to complain?

BT, your views have always amazed me. For someone who lives an alleged frugal lifestyle, you sure don't care when the gov't spends our future for a few weeks of short covering rally. You're pretty much guaranteed to see QE IV in a few months.

First, I think I'm hearing the term QEternity more often than Infinity. One less sylable.

Second, this is an interesting thought on the start of the fourth phase. Why is it always Philadelphia that loses things? Bank of America credit card tapes on federal employees, new $100 bills......
