Hi all,

I am brand new to this site and am very interested in utilizing one or some of the Premium services. I've reviewed the return rates for each of the services, and am just wondering the type of specifc information thats provided within the premium services. I've amassed a good base in the TSP on my own and have a good rate of return, at least for managing it on my own. But at my age, its to the point for me that I want to start making the better monthly gains that I know can be made in an informed manner, rather than either 'betting and hoping' or otherwise staying in a set&forget mode.

What I'm looking to find out in particular before paying to join up is, are the paying members provided recommendations of specific days of the month on when to perform interfund transfers, as well as, recommendations on changes to payperiod fund allocations? I'm of course not asking for any specific, current-performance information provided within the pay-side. I just want to know what to expect once paying for access. Any insight would be appreciated!

Welcome Matt. Paying members are provided recommendations of specific days of the month on when to perform interfund transfers, as well as, recommendations on changes to payperiod fund allocations. If you want you can send me a private message and I could expound more on my experience.

Welcome to the boards, mbroqz3000!
I am not a premium subscriber at this time, but I have followed many of them before they became 'premium services'. They all have their systems, and have varying successes each year. (As they say, past performance is no assurance of future success.) They are all very knowledgeable. You can access their services and get a description of what they do (see Home page). You can also PM them and I'm sure they would be willing to answer all your questions. I think it is wise to use the services as another source of information, but still make your own decisions, based on your own goals and risk tolerance.
It's not going to be the same for all the services' subscribers. :grouphug:

It's simple. Look at the historic rates of return for Premium Services and make your decision.

Welcome Aboard!

Hope you made it out of the garage:smile:

Seems like the OP has done that and is now wondering about the additional information provided and/or how it is provided.

Welcome! All of the service will send email alerts if any allocation changes / IFT's are being made by the service.

Matt,

I have used two paid services thus far and have been happy with both. Like someone previously posted you make your own educated choices when it comes to which fund you decide to choose. Cool hand had a nice setup but did not produce the expected results. His site provided good info especially if you like stock recommendations. I now subscribe to (another site) and I am guided by their recommendations for the risk level I choose. Educate yourself and start listening to CNBC radio for commentary. Hope this helps.

I just updated the Autotracker through the end of March, and ran some numbers...

1 out of every 3.7 (26%) accounts being tracked are premium service members.

1 out of every 1.6 (61%) accounts in the top 100 are premium service members.

Past performance is no guarantee of future results.

I thank all of you and appreciate your comments and guidance! More than likely, I'll be becoming a member in the upcoming days.

I subscribe to two services so I can take the emotional turmoil out of the equation. Tom gave some statistics & I'm an outlier when compared to those numbers. Mainly because I take a more conservative approach but my return is keeping up with S-Fund even though I'm in stocks less than 30% of the time.

Another reason I subscribe (besides the selfish reasons above) is this site provides a vast amount of knowledge and the small cost I pay hopefully will keep this site open & those smarter than me contributing until I'm deep into retirement.
