Of course you know that Profits of DOOM are everywhere now!:suspicious:

This is very true nnuut, I don't fully endorse everything this guy Say's but he does make some very interesting points.

I am looking for an entry point, but honestly this month has been scary and there has not been any good entry point. Lower lowes and Lower High's. That has been the trend. The dollar is going to hell in a hand basket. I'm off work today and getting ready for ding ding ding ding ding.

Thank you Budnipper for doing the research. I already know all of the statistics on manotruth. I was wondering if anybody on tsptalk would feel compelled to investigate.

I don't put this information before tsptalk without much thought in how people will interpret it. I do not agree with everything manotruth stands for. I dint think we have Armageddon but I do think the market's are headed lower for possibly a substantial amount of time. If this is true member's of this site might not thank me, but they will remember me. I am a needed member in this forum, and Time will tell.

View and form opinions yourself. Look at the charts. Were are we going?

I didn't find anything extremely negative or radical about the guy. I wish I could find his legal name so I could dig a little deeper, and when I have the time I'll work on it. To clarify my earlier post, many of the references I posted were not detrimental towards manoftruth's character. For example, his religious affiliation with the Mormon faith is fine by me, as long as I don't find evidence of him being one of the extremist variety associated with some of the "cults" found in Utah. I personally have a couple of Mormon friends who I respect and trust more than a lot of other people I know. His support for Ron Paul is another thing that doesn't not bother me. So far, I haven't found anything about Paul that I could criticize either, and he would probably be my second choice of the other candidates. Personally, I don't think his chances for winning are very good right now, but that could change.

There are a few things that do bother me about "manoftruth". I sense that his personal philosophy "may" be biased, being based on things such as the Nostradamus Prophecies, which I personally think is bunk. I am probably also unfairly stereotyping him with some radical groups that come to my mind, as first impressions when I watch his clips. (For example-)Over 40 years ago, a large group of "hippies" rolled into the small town where I grew up, driving big, yellow school buses with hand-painted flowers all over them. To say the least, they were not accepted into town with open arms, and most people were afraid to even talk to them. The hippies soon moved on, just 20 miles further east to an even smaller town named Summertown. They bought a pretty large track of land there, near the outskirts of town and soon Middle Tennessee had their first "commune", later called, "The Farm", lead by a guy named Steven Gaskin from California. In a few days, Gaskin went in to the local farm implement store and told them he needed to buy a tractor and a few other expensive items so his group could start farming their land. You'll have to visualize Gaskin's appearance in order to understand the storekeepers reactions. He was barefooted and was wearing a pair of brand new overalls with no shirt. He wore a big straw hat and his long, braided pigtails hung down his back to his waist, and his beard made him a dead-ringer for one of the guys in the ZZ top band. The story goes, that after Gaskin had picked out what he needed, he wrote the store clerk a check for the amount of his purchase and handed it to him. I don't know the exact amount of the check, but tractors ain't cheap and he was buying more than one. The clerk took the check to the store owner, and the owner called the California bank to verify the account. The bank told the store owner that as long as the amount of the check was under $3 million, it was good. The point of this true story is: too bad about my problem with judging people based on what they look like. Even though I should know better by now, I still deal with this type-casting problem, but I try not to let my first impressions keep me from giving people the benefit of the doubt, until I learn more about them. Just call me suspicious.

Other things I would like to learn about manoftruth are basic things such as, what does he do for a living? I don't think those videos on youtube pay very much. Since he claims to have received his education from Brigham Young and Harvard, money has not been much of a problem for him. The videos seem to imply that he does quite a bit of traveling around, so he seems to have plenty of free time on his hands. I guess he could be good enough with his investments to support himself that way, but I don't know if that's the case. He could be the product of some old money and never have worked a day in his life, but I don't know that either. Bottom line is that I don't know enough about him to rely on his very pessimistic outlook for the economy, and until I know more than what we know now, I won't be changing my investment strategy on his say-so.:)

Hope the little story wasn't too long and boring. Hell, Steadygain does it all the time, so I thought I would join the club.:D

I understand your concerns.. I have seen plenty and heard plenty in my life as well. "Jim Jones, Waco Texas, etc etc...."

I look at some of his videos that have post dated recent events that have become true. He does not seem to go away and has been predicting incredible things over the last 6 month's in advance. I am very skeptical myself being burned many times. His food is for thought until otherwise spoiled.

You don't burn me in the slightest. This man is open for discussion. :)

Hey Bud, nice story (and long too). Looks like this message board is becoming the forum for sharing our major life experiences with one another...you know, the ones that have significantly shaped our lives and helped define who we really are deep inside of ourselves. Let's see now, what significant events from my secret past should I talk about that would interest the other members?

How about the time that I tried out as a pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds?
Or how bout the time I got kicked out of a Las Vegas casino for counting cards?
Maybe the time that I tried to outrun the police and was eventually sentenced (through a plea bargain) to do 3 days of community service (weed whacking) for passing a school bus while loading?
I can also remember one night when I ate a bowl of ice cream, watched a movie on TV, and then went to bed...

Man, this is depressing because my life has been really boring up to now if that's all I can come up with! :D

LOL! I hear you, Paladin... Funny, that reminds me of guy I worked with at a DuPont plant in Old Hickory, TN., in the mid-70's. It was one of those jobs that you actually worked for only three hours out of eight and spent the other five hours shooting the breeze. This guy, Tony Vaughn and I were about the same age, around thirty. Tony was one of those guys who had always done just about everything that anybody else had done, at least once and sometimes twice, no matter what topic came up during those B.S. sessions we all participated in everyday. If one of the group mentioned something about what happened to him in the Army, Tony would chime in and trump him with his own Army story. Then he would add another story about what also happened to him when he was in the merchant marines. Another guy mentioned that he had spent a little jail-time for something, so Tony confessed that he spent a year in the big house on an assault and battery offense. Over a course of two or three years, we heard about so many of Tony's life experiences that we started questioning his actual age, because when we started adding up the time periods for everything that Tony had claimed to do, we found that he had to be pretty close to 90 years old!:suspicious:

P.S. This will be my last public sharing session about my life experiences, so enjoy and be glad that it's finally over.:D
