Payroll numbers- 117,00 jobs added- better than expected report.

PRIVATE HIRING STEPS UP

All the gains in non-farm employment in July came from the private sector, where payrolls rose 154,000 -- an acceleration from June's 80,000 increase and more than the 115,000 expected by economists.
Government payrolls dropped 37,000 in July, a ninth straight month of job losses. The drop was mostly due to a government shutdown in Minnesota that left thousands of state workers without pay checks during the survey period for July payrolls.

Gee, I wonder which political party shut down the government in Minnesota, and tried to destroy the jobs numbers? What do you think the markets would be doing if those 37,000 workers hadn't been tossed out on their ears in July?

The sacrifice was made inorder to kill another union - it was the right decision.

This is exactly the problem and the wrong decision. The workers got sacrificed. It will be detrimental for them in the long run.

The workers were causing the problems to begin with - they needed a collar.
No management is the problem. This includes political leaders. They should be working with the workers not fighting them. Many governors did this and got concessions and are on the road to recovery.

It's really all political payback and the pendulum will swing back.
