You might be sorta right, I don't know for sure myself...

But are you saying, that as oil prices drop, the gasoline taxes increase (which differs in each State) and that the Oil refineries and distributers are increasing their profit margins to offset the dropping oil prices?:confused:..Can they do that?
 
Later that afternoon............

I was wrong, instead of dropping a nickel as I thought it should in light of the current Oil prices, the E10 price dropped a DIME to $2.37.....YEEESSSS! that's what I'm talking about!
 
Our newly reelected Governor wants to raise the tax on Gas by 1 Cent, doesn't seem like that much but we already pay 46 cents. He claims that we need more money to repair our highways and such.:nuts:

That's what they always say they need the money for..a penny here, a penny there..starts adding up.:mad:

WASHINGTON, Nov 14 (Reuters) - The Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives approved the Keystone XL pipeline on Friday, but a similar measure struggled to get enough support in the Senate and President Barack Obama indicated he might use his veto if the bill does get through Congress.
The legislation, approved by 252 votes to 161, circumvents the need for approval of TransCanada Corp's $8 billion project by the Obama administration, which has been considering it for more than six years.
House lawmakers were confident the Senate would follow suit and pass its version of the bill.

Cracks widen at OPEC as oil prices tumble

Oil prices firmly below $80 a barrel are rattling nerves within the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and calls are mounting for concrete action at the group's crucial next meeting this month.
Over the weekend oil-producing countries Kuwait and Iran raised concerns about oil's worrying lows and what OPEC should be doing to help protect its members' economies.
Kuwait's cabinet and the country's Supreme Petroleum Council held an "extraordinary" joint meeting Sunday to consider measures to stop the slide in prices.

According the official KUNA news agency, the meeting "discussed the steps that have to be taken on all levels...including having consultations with fellow OPEC member states for maintaining interests of all parties".[more]

Gas prices around me are finally falling below $2.80. But it won't surprise me to see a jump close to or above $3.00 before next Tuesday just in time for Thanksgiving.
