Oil Slick Stuff

Wow. You get a piece of that short?

No, I just started watching it yesterday. Another site I'm on I posted with a big ? mark 11.50 support. Just a lucky WAG. Most of my plays are under the $5 and I didn't have any $$ to take on this one. No skin in it, but thought it would be worth a look for others. Lower demand I agree may still send it lower. I like finding decent bottom plays but doubt this will get into my range.

U still da man!!!

Yep, don't have a pic of my '06 4Runner w/199,000+ miles on it. But she's a peach!!!
I don't drive much..so my '06 HUMMER only has 76,000 on it...I was thinking about selling it for a new Honda Ridgeline, but nothing can compare to my HUMMER, as the ad once said "Nothing Else Like it"..And that is soo true.

WTI Crude under $85 today. That is a buying level for me, but no cash to throw at it. Maybe I'll make some moves...

Looking back 5 years, WTI Crude very rarely breaks under $85. When it does, it bounces back above very quickly. This chart shows USO, which tracks WTI Crude, just at a different price level.

Split between OPEC producers deepens as oil prices fall
Oct 13, 2014 7:45 a.m. ET

A rift between OPEC members deepened over the weekend, as producers in the cartel moved in different directions amid falling oil prices.
Venezuela, which has been one of the most outspoken proponents of a production cut by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, called over the weekend for an emergency meeting of the group to respond to falling prices. But Kuwait said Sunday that OPEC was unlikely to act to rein in output.
Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, appeared to expand on its recent move to defend its market share at the expense of other members by aggressively courting customers in Europe. Traders said Saudi Arabia is now asking for stronger commitments from some of its buyers in Europe, a move that would lock in those customers, including any new ones it would gain with recent price reductions.

Out here on the panhandle, we generally are about .15 to .20 higher than you guys....

Pissed off -- we're still at 3.069 --- jerks.

Depends on how much State Gasoline Tax you pay! You guys should grab that HANDLE and hit the governor side the head with the PAN.

All in (federal, state, local) we pay $0.54xxxx per gallon in taxes. Give the middlemen about 3 - 5 cents profit (that's being generous) and usually we're ~ 58 - 60 cents above spot price from 10 days previous. Which, right now should be well south of $3.

You're kidding about the governor, right? He's an Idiot.

Although the guy who used to inspect the gas pumps around here was named Charles Bronson.

[h=1]Map of State Gasoline Tax Rates in 2014[/h] June 03, 2014

This week’s tax map takes a look at state gasoline tax rates, using data from a
recent report by the American Petroleum Institute. California is in 1st place with the highest rate of 52.89 cents per gallon, and is followed closely by New York (49.86 cents/gallon), Connecticut (49.3 cents/gallon), and Hawaii (48.05 cents/gallon). On the other end of the spectrum, Alaska has the lowest rate at 12.4 cents per gallon, but New Jersey (14.5 cents/gallon) and South Carolina (16.75 cents/gallon) aren’t far behind. These rates do not include the additional 18.4 cent federal excise tax.
