Crude oil drop ahead of supplies data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Crude-oil futures fell early on Wednesday, with commodities coming under pressure from a stronger dollar and traders awaiting a government report on weekly U.S. petroleum supplies.

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Crude-oil futures fell Wednesday on fears of an interest-rate hike in China and after increases in weekly gasoline and distillates inventories and a stronger dollar.
Crude oil for January delivery [CLF11] slipped 44 cents, or 0.5%, to $88.25 a barrel.

Yep it's pretty expensive in NJ due to taxes and having to pay those Union Gas Pumpers.:laugh:
Well it's competing with the Dollar so it may take a while. You must understand that it's not an easy job for them to rig these prices.:cool:

Cable: Shell infiltrates Nigerian ministries

LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) — A U.S. Embassy cable released by the WikiLeaks website alleges that Royal Dutch Shell PLC's top manager in Nigeria claimed the oil company had sources inside of "all relevant ministries" involving its business.

The cable dated Oct. 20, 2009, quotes Shell's Ann Pickard. Pickard allegedly said that the Nigerian government "had forgotten that Shell had seconded people to all the relevant ministries and that Shell consequently had access to everything that was being done in those ministries."

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Crude-oil futures inched up Thursday, with investors looking at equities for direction after two days of losses.
Crude for January delivery [CLF11] recently added 16 cents, or 0.2%, to $88.43 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It earlier traded as low as $88 a barrel and as high as $89.42 a barrel, wavering between small gains and losses before U.S. stock markets opened.http://markets.usatoday.com/custom/...S&guid={F1B10B38-03A2-11E0-B254-00212804637C}
 
WOW - up to $88.43 an ounce, eh? No wonder it's called "liquid gold". :p

Ha! Looks like MarketWatch needs to get their stuff together, let's see how much a barrel is that? 32 oz a quart x 4 = 128 oz x 60 gallons = 7680 oz a barrel x $88.87 = $682,521.60 WOW!!:laugh:
 
OW OW. It's a cold winter in Europe already, China's oil demand also rising, and we are still beholden to crude oil prices based on dollars. Since our price is the international price, our price goes as world supply goes, not how our domestic supply goes. The last thing we need next year is $4 a gallon gas.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Crude-oil futures inched higher Friday, ahead of a meeting of major oil producers, while traders weighed concerns that China might hike rates over the weekend.
