Oil Slick Stuff

I saw one report tonight where they said they were gonna inject rubber bits and stuff to plug the opening up on top of the BOP, so the out rush to the top of the well head would slow, allowing more of the mud to stay in the pipe and force the oil back down the tube easier, then inject cement on top of that...We Should see positive results by tomorrow.

This move by your President will force the price of Gasoline to over $5.00 a gallon this summer, after his announcement Crude Oil spiked up over $3.00 a barrel. Many Many job lost in Alaska, Eastern Coast, and Gulf of Mexico states that have been hit hard by the Oil Spill. Now they take the jobs of countless Americans because they don't know what the hell to do. Or is it another Crisis being taken advantage of? What's Next!

Obama Pushes for More Regulation, Extends Oil Drilling Moratorium

I'm gonna say you're wrong..the Country won't stand for it or could it survive it...Think about all that would come to screeching halt if that ever became true....Nope..Won't happen..

Let's try looking at things more positively and not always the gloom and doom..

The one they are working on now may not be the one leaking the most oil. New data estimates are saying now about 25,000 barrels a day is escaping- five times the estimate of 5,000 barrels a day previously discussed.

http://www1.voanews.com/english/new...-Leak-Bigger-Than-First-Thought-95033339.html

And now some are saying the video we're seeing from BP is NOT the main source of the leak. It's just one of three outlets- and there is one six miles away which is gushing much, much harder:

Can't survive it? Europe does just fine on far higher gasoline prices. You saying our nation can't match other nations in making the conversion to other sources of energy?

We're REALLY good at adapting to change. America can do better-- IF we put our minds to it.

Renewable E85 still costs less than gasoline. What better way to move the country towards renewable fuels. Biodiesel. Ethanol. Plug-in electric.

Don't compare us to Europe please..different world, different economy, different way of life...If I wanted to live like they do..I'd move there.

BP provided an update on developments in the response to the MC252 oil well incident in the Gulf of Mexico.

Subsea Source Control and Containment

Subsea efforts continue to focus on progressing steps to stop the flow of oil from the well through interventions via the failed Deepwater Horizon blow out preventer (BOP), and to collect the flow of oil from the leak points. These efforts are being carried out in conjunction with industry experts and governmental authorities.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Crude oil futures reversed lower Friday, moderating their weekly gains and on track for a loss in May, when Europe's debt crisis fueled concerns over global growth and pushed up the U.S. dollar.
Crude oil futures for July delivery gave up earlier gains to trade down 22 cents at $74.37 a barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The extended ban on deep water oil drilling could have broad economic consequences, an industry group said Friday, leading to potential job losses and higher energy prices.
The American Petroleum Institute, the main U.S. trade association for the oil and natural gas industry, said the six-month moratorium, announced Thursday in response to what is considered the worst oil spill in the nation's history, could stifle economic activity.

Remember me saying something like this?...This is where a big "I told you so"..would fit...(speaking to the naysayers of offshore drilling)

Summer gas prices lower, could fall more

Charisse Jones, USA TODAY
Gasoline prices continue to fall heading into Memorial Day weekend and could rival the low prices seen last summer, oil and travel analysts say.
The average price of a gallon of regular gas on Thursday was $2.76, according to AAA. Analysts say it may be a nickel to 25 cents lower in many parts of the country through the holiday.
"I think in most parts of the country, people who shop around will be able to ... get gas between $2.50 and 2.70," says Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst at the Oil Price Information Service.
