SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures fell under $73 a barrel Monday morning to trade at their lowest level in nearly seven weeks, with concerns over global production eased by a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon and continued output from a key Alaskan oil field despite major repairs.

It seems to me that with everything going on this week, the price of oil will be a non-factor unless it drops below 70 or rises above 75. You agree??

With Oil this high it's always a factor. If it drops below $70 that would be great, but other things can negate the influence of lower oil, like a higher PPI and/or CPI which may switch on the interest rate elevations again. I think we can take $75 or a little higher if other indicators are looking good and the War cools down, sometime they seem to ignore the price of oil., but over $78---->> is a definite NO NO!

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures moved slightly lower Tuesday morning with pressured from the Israeli-Hezbollah ceasefire in the oil-rich Middle East region partially offset by some expectations for a decline in U.S. crude inventories.

Just drove by the local gas pump.....$2.79 for the cheap stuff....that's a 10 cent drop in a week.....

I believe that the feds acknowledgement last week of the economy slowing is now putting the fear of recession/depression into corporate headquarters....just look at Walmart today.....earnings dropping like a .......:notrust: It will take a while for consumers to come up with the cash to move this economy on....right now, they are trying to pay for their kids school necessities, then its Halloween, then the turkey, and then Christmas.....man its expensive to live this day and time.....could just take supplies from the office to fill the kids schoool requirements, stich up them last years school clothes, give them a sheet with holes in it for spooking, might as well kill the dog for Thanksgiving.....and give last years presents to different kids this year (repair them before wrapping of course)...

Crude dips as OPEC cuts oil demand forecast

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures dipped early Wednesday, after the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries lowered its 2006 oil demand forecast, with traders also awaiting U.S. weekly supply data that some analysts expect will show a decline in crude inventories.
Crude for September delivery was last trading down 16 cents at $72.89 a barrel in electronic trade. On Tuesday, the contract lost 48 cents as traders continued to unwind the terror premium built up during the Israeli conflict with the Lebanese Hezbollah group.http://markets.usatoday.com/custom/usatoday-com/html-story.asp?markets=Commodities&guid=%7B31589DD6%2D8BC8%2D4C67%2D82D8%2D7918EB1D0707%7D

$3.219

I just acquired 7.765 shares...er, gallons...of lead-free regular for $25.00. The Dreadnought ('86 Parisienne wagon) has a 22-gallon tank! And a broken gage. Fortunately I mostly use my bicycle.
