1.74%, But will it hold?:suspicious:

Don't you just love these last minute rallies?:suspicious::blink:

Like I've said very clearly before, if we could do EFTs for tomorrow up until 5PM today, we have a better feeling about what tomorrow might bring based on how this day went....Instead of this noon crud.

Yeah, the noon deadline is a crapshoot. Heck, even a 3:30 deadline would be a crapshoot.:D

How times have changed.

Just wait until the buyer bulls kick it at 1500 hours - too many down days and the really smart guys are buying.
Hey Birch, The Bulls finally got on board at 1500 hours. Just like you hoped. Lately it has been a Bear feeding frenzy at 1500. It would be nice if the market could rally for a few days instead of one good day and a bunch of "OH MY G*D!!" days. Yesterday was the largest one day loss I have ever had. So today was nice just to recover a little.:D The market may stay positive tomorrow but Monday could be scary.

To play the volatility of this market only requires courage and stamina. The question I ask myself is if I buy a stock today, where will it be two or three years from now. That way even if the market hasn't hit bottom, and stocks continue to go lower in the next few months, I'm still coming in neare the lows, which is what buying low and selling high is all about. So I follow the one strategy most financial advisors agree on - when it comes to investing think long-term and leave the market timing to chicletts. With all the build up of recent cash on the sidelines we're getting ready for the greatest speculative stock market explosion the world has ever seen.

More stamina than courage Birchtree, This has been a full time job since I started.

When I feel that we have hit the bottom, I will ride it with you....:D

Yep, the non-recession is over! Buy stocks now or you'll be priced out forever!:laugh::laugh:

Thanks Birchtree. You just made my day.:D

I think we have way too many Banks in the USA, we should let them fail or be bought out by bigger banks.

Broad group of banks want bailout money

Treasury Department lays out process for banks to apply for funding.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Banks of all sizes are interested in a piece of the federal government's $250 billion fund to recapitalize financial institutions, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said Monday.
"We have received indications of interest from a broad group of banks of all sizes," he said.
Banks must apply for funds by Nov. 14, Paulson said. Under guidelines released Monday, an eligible institution will be able to sell the government an equity stake of up to 3% of its risk-weighted assets. Banks should contact their primary federal regulator for details about the program.
There is enough money to go around, Paulson said.
"Sufficient capital has been allocated so that all qualifying banks can participate," he said. "Let me be clear that this program is not being implemented on a first-come-first-served basis."

Active banks of the United States
A list of many commercial banks in the United States can be found at the website of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).[2]. According to the FDIC, there were 8,430 FDIC-insured commercial banks in the United States as of August 22, 2008. Every member of the Federal Reserve System is listed here along with non-members who are also insured by the FDIC. This list does not include banks and investments that are not FDIC-insured.

Berneke's supports another "Stimulus package" from Congress - so you may win a kitchen sink! Is the sink plastic or stainless steel? I already can feel the credit card warming up on the other end of Penn with the ole no money down trick, hope I'm wrong about that. :suspicious:

I thought the stimulus check is actually taxed at the end of the year as earned income.

Yes, it is, I meant that to pay out stimulus checks, Congress has to offset it. I just hope they don't make it an off budget "emergency" spending bill. We have so many off budget "emergencies" now that it's ridiculous.

Down we go again, man this is getting Very OLD!! Rat.gif S
Still 100% "G"eeeeeeeeeeeeeee FUND!
RIBIT RIBIT!

I bet we have a huge week long rally in the near future..no facts to go on, just my gut...;)

Could turn around today it does that sometimes or it continues down to set new lows, it does that too. Could rally next week or maybe not? HHUUUUMMMMMMM? Technical analysis is almost useless in this type of an economy, or is this still considered an economy? If soo why is it not economic?:suspicious:
