I totally agree that it is possible for a big down, and perhaps even a double bottom! My philosphy: Look at the available evidence for any given day/week and make IFT's based on it. There is a chance that tomorrow may be a big reverse; but it is also true that there is a chance for an upward continuation. If it wasn't for Apple, Texas Ins, Ups, and AT&T, and UPS reporting tomorrow, I would bail. The iphone is a big deal, and I am betting it made Apple and the carrier AT&T earningsw rise. So I am betting that the iphone saves me. Comparing these reports to Wednesday is another matter, and I become scared and will run. On my way out I will see how the I is doing, and if some upward rebound can be captured.
 
That's true tomorrow may head up on earnings, but Wednesday is the Question. Nothing is etched in stone.

Nnut...I finally was able to get off the floor...I don't know where you find this stuff...but please keep it comin...I love to laugh. My wife came in the living room as I am laying on the floor ....poundingmy fist..my pot belly jiggling wildly.., and both feet kickin....It was great, especially since she's a Hillary fan...:D:D:D

well lost about5% last week heres hoping to get some of it back then friday night tore the third member out of race car grenaded all over the track NEED SPONSOR IN A BAD WAY:DI GUESS I AM DONE THIS YEAR TIME TO REFRESH AND REBUILD,CANT AFFORD BIGGER BUT WILL BE BETTER:D:blink::cool:

Yeah CC I lost last week too, was on vacation and let it ride. Had no access to computers so guess I have to take it like a MAN!!! You should think about the words of wisdom in my signature. I wish I had!:o

about the time i hit the NOS, it felt like all four tires came off the ground hit about 10 grand and i went to grabbing brakes and shutting doun real fast reminded me of last year when trans brake grenaded and drive shaft came thru the floor i was actually looking for it this time thank god the loop worked this time but will still need a new one already picked up a third member still need gears drive shaft yoke ,ohYEAH and have the cotton removed from my A$$

Much bad news today, Oil inventories surprise low, drives Oil Up, Merrill Lynch reported third quarter earnings that contained $7.9 billion of losses, existing home sales down to a 10 year low. What happened this afternoon? The word tonight is that the rally this afternoon was triggered by a RUMOR that the FED is going to lower rates before the next meeting. Buy low sell high. We will see if tomorrow continues the upward movement.:cool:
 
Yeah Rumors are a wierd way for a market to function; but will give us a buying opportunity if we are patient. :)

Okay, I thought $240 million was too little for Facebook. That makes sense that it is just Microsoft putting its toe in the door, not actually buying the site.

Yes Buying programs clicked in and it was blast off to the top of the chart, then the RUMOR hit. I'm thinking tomorrow may not follow the lead and continue up tomorrow. Jobs, New home sales, durable orders could be the determining factors.:cool:

Orders for big-ticket manufactured goods unexpectedly fell again in September, raising new worries about how much harm a severe housing slump and credit crunch are causing to the overall economy.
The Commerce Department reported Thursday that orders for durable goods dropped 1.7 percent last month following an even bigger 5.3 percent plunge in August. It marked the first back-to-back declines in more than a year and took economists by surprise. They had forecast new orders would rebound by 1.5 percent in September.
The September drop reflected weakness in such areas as autos, fabricated metals, computers and electronics products, and electrical appliances. [more]
