11:30 am : After a very choppy couple of hours stocks are finally exhibiting some semblance of stabilizing. While this morning's reflex rally offers some rationale that a floor has been established, we don't believe this is a time to try to pick a market bottom because volatility remains extremely high and tightening credit standards continue to undermine the basic market fundamentals.
Also, August and September can be difficult months for the market, which further supports why our market view has been neutral since June 25, and selling activity related to redemption requests could act as a drag on the market through Sept. 30. 100% "G" COB today. Well that's it for me, like I've said before, I'll get back in when it turns around.
I don't see much else that can go wrong, Hurricane comin', Japan's Carry Trade Pullout. Prime problems, just too many to mention. Turn around and establish an up trend and I'll come back to see you Mr. Market!!

I agree with you. Screw this market, all I see are big drops and small bounces. I'm not playing this game anymore. :suspicious:

Sentiment totally negative.

Yes, trying to catch the BOUNCE has been the main reason for my losses during this down turn. I caught some but the ones I missed killed me, so here I sit with about 3.5% for the year. Better than the "C" so I guess I'm doing GOOD!!!:laugh:
Oh the same thing happened last year in June, see graph up about 4 posts. I hung in there, thinking that it was going to turn around and it ate me for lunch. That's when I coined my Signature below!! The hard part is going back up without jumping out with every backstep that the market makes, I get GUN SHY!!:worried:
You never learn I guess. :embarrest:

I would say be very happy with where you are. You are doing better than me and I am happy with myself in this downturn.

I will say though I am getting ready to diversify myself back into this market after I see stability and capitulation.

Once I do that I am not going to spend so much time watching all this economic crap and going to start enjoying life more.

I have spent the last 2 weeks watching everything day and night and it is effecting my social life including my wife. She will talk to me and it's like a 747 going over my head.:(
