Nikkei

Heads up-

Japan's Nikkei taking it in the shorts this morning.

Now down over -2.25%.

Looks like a down day ahead all over the world as futures are all turning negative.

/ES is only down a fraction... don't be lured into it, Big Ben will come to save the markets.

$5.25 billion in 2 days... no worries :D

that I fund sucks with that fv. i thought the I fund was looking good at the close, but when i looked this morn it was very disaapointing. it showed a increase of .50% but only gave .11%. but i will stick with it hoping for it to make up some losses.

European markets have been holding up well, but Japan's Nikkei continues to struggle. Japan currently makes up 24.5% of the I-fund, the largest position with 324 Japanese companies in the fund.

The announcement that the Tokyo Olympics will allow 10,000 spectators isn't weighing very well on their markets. That number doesn't include the corporate sponsors and VIP guests. Japan has around a 16% vaccination rate which is very low especially considering the Olympics. Some medical experts think opening for spectators is a bad idea since infection rates are relatively high.

I've been market forecasters saying Japan is a great place to put money this year with valuations more favorable than in the US. At least the I fund should feel the positive effects.
