Hi all;

I'm new to TSP talk, been looking for ways to get more involved with my TSP funds. I've read through a lot of the member threads, and I think to start off I'm going to be matching the Sentimental Survey tracker.

I'm active duty, deployed for the next 5 months, with constant access to the internet, so doing quick trades isn't an issue. My SDP is maxed, riding that out. Rest of my savings while I'm here is going to my Roth IRA.

Just wanted to say hi and see if you guys had any extra advice for me just getting started. : )

Welcome aboard!

My best advice for someone deployed is...

Keep your head down. Stay in the truck. Drive FAST. Stay hydrated.

That's about it.

Welcome LoDown!

Stay Safe,

Go L2040 until you get back and can focus on investing!!!!

Welcome! All of your current contributions to your TSP are tracked by your TSP account as "Tax-Exempt", so you wont have to pay upon withdrawl for that amount. (deployment is the only time youre gonna get tax-free money, so use it wisely)

I just got back from deployment 3 months ago, Baghdad VIA Fort Lewis,WA. Where are you at?

Were you there during the Doha 2010 indoor championships? If you tell me you met those hot russian gymnasts i'll hate you forever :laugh:
