Was contemplating last night's poker game on my drive into work today. This song came to mind. We're all learners at some point, got to learn to keep it between the lines, first things first-big challenge. At some point though, the training wheels come off as the kid gains confidence and muscle memory driving that thing, keeping up with traffic. vrooom vroom. got to be careful not to get overconfident at that point-the next hazard to experience and learn to avoid and not get killed while learning. One reason teenagers have so much higher insurance rates. same hazard applies in poker. I'm still in learning mode, much yet to learn, and not just strategy. poker reveals personal psychological flaws to oneself, not just to other players. and provides plenty of opportunities to work on them too.

Well this show was a pleasant diversion from all the junk that was on tv today. The story is about a con man trying to leave his old life and resume the life of his cell mate. Bryan Cranston from "Breaking Bad" stars and produces this well acted and scripted series...the music is good also. "Sneaky Pete" ... check it out on Amazon.
