But you really have to watch Laurel & Hardy in a traffic jam, that's priceless.
This is not it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkqz3lpUBp0&feature=related

"Driving around New York" from 1928.
This reminds me of the rides I was given on the roads of Tomsk in 1991, my heart was in my throat, cutting out a third lane between two "existing" lanes (no markers), carving out a lane between two ribbons of steel with me on board, competing with big trucks, no problem . . .

Oh this is a total hoot, but still not the one I want, with Romanian subtitles, normal English audio, driving around LA!
Laurel and Hardi - alias Stan si Bran - YouTube (the great-grandfather of the LP3, woo yah, whatta hoot, I think this only existed as such in this movie, but funny) This will have you LYAO and ROTFL.

I think I found it, only it's better if you turn the imposed sound off, even if Pipeline goes good with anything.

I thot you would like this one. Thanks for introducing me to Bill Withers. That's a cute video. 0000000000ThinkingCatON.jpg

Another week coming up.
Here's the Knickerbockers, the lead singer with his sax that he never plays, I guess it's just there
Lies - The Knickerbockers - YouTube Hey, I just looked them up, they were American!

This one is a "rare clip", a different performance, little different feeling, the band has more personality in this one; the dancing crowd more in the other.

Then the originators of this song, from L.A., the na-na part started out in rehearsal when he couldn't remember the lines and it stuck. OK. Then Wilson Pickett . . .

That may be enough for now. Mowed the FY, took a walk with the wife, and brushed the pool, time for a shower.
My favorite female singers from that time were Marianne Faithfull and Joan Baez.
