McDuck's Account Talk

Seems strange that China, which has the 2nd largest economy behind the U.S. and with ambitions to be the largest economy by 2030 is still considered an emerging market???

What am I missing here???
The TRUTH comes to mind.yikes.gif

Interesting, because the market was up after the 2012 and 2016 elections and down for the 2008 election. However, after the 2008 election the market was down November '08' through February '09' but by March 2009 the market took off.

Burry cautioned against buying into relief rallies.

The S&P 500 index has rebounded strongly from the pandemic crash in the spring of 2020, rising from a low of 2,192 points to 4,089 points as of Tuesday's close. However, it could plummet by 54% to 1,862 points in the next few years, Burry tweeted on May 3.

Where do you think this is headed, McDuck?

The last-months best fund changes. Are you going in? Or still in from before? What are your thoughts? Thanks.

Stock Market News: Dow Falls After White House Tariff Comments

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 338 points, or 0.8%. The S&P 500 dropped 0.5%. The Nasdaq Composite was down 0.3%. Despite Friday’s decline, the Dow still managed to lock in its best January since 2019.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt sent stocks tumbling when she said the Trump administration plans to go forward with 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico and a 10% tariff on China starting on Feb. 1.

When the index ends the first month of the year in the green, it averages a gain of 9.4% in the other 11 months, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
