I retired from the Army in August then took my same job as a GS12 a few months later last year. I started my TSP election in December and have contributed 125.00 each pay period but so far all I see on my statements is the contributions I have made and no matching funds by the Feds or the 1%...Am I missing something? Is there some kind of wait period for matching funds?
Help! thanks in advance.

The 1% should be automatic. Each Agency operates differently so I can't talk to the Army.

I'd get online with the benefits group from your employment package and verify the TSP information.

The only place I know to view my agency matching funds is on the quarterly statement. Your pay statements don’t show it. Welcome to the board Meddac!:cool:

I have three lines on my civilian LES:

Retire, FERS (What I put in)
TSP Match (Govt 4%)
TSP Basic (Govt 1%)

My Reserve LES just shows my contirbution.

Yes, if you were hired in November 2008, then you won't start seeing the matching contributions until June 2009. My wife hired into the fed system in October and I checked when the matching contributions started. Hired from Sept-Dec, matching begins in June of next year. Sucks

USM1811...Do you know if the matching contributions were retroactive or they didn't start until June for your wife.

i work for the BOP it's a six month waiting period for us and it's not backpaid either. Just starts after 6 months.

Thanks to all who replied. No one here at work seemed to really know the answer. Guess come June I'll start seeing some matching funds. I should have known being in the "G" for over 20 yrs there would be some kind of scam on their end.
