MaStA's Account Talk

I remember when MCD was trading at $21 - now that was a difficult purchase but an excellent one. Keep you eye on the future.

Will do. I'm trying to get good solid and stable stocks with dividends for my roth. Hopefully I pick good ones.

Futures are way up right now due to the Spain aid deal...let's hope this carries over into the market tomorrow :)

Added to my Roth IRA with some shares of JNJ for the long haul. Three analysts upgraded the stock, it pays a dividend, and it seems to be a stable company that will suit my Roth IRA well. What I'm considering next is KO, MO, T, and WMT or TGT. I may run out of cash in the Roth IRA to buy decent positions in those...but I will eventually buy into them as I continue to add $5,000 a year. :)

There's my update on my Roth. I'm still holding the S Fund on my TSP, but I'm really considering exiting today on a positive day...but it seems almost like things are beginning to stabalize. There is more talk on cnbc about the fed's helping out, but at this point I don't know if it would do much for the stock market.

I went out today to 50G/50F. Locked in my -9% on the year, but I think I will sell the rallies and buy the dips for now. Like you said.....exit on a positive day!

Good Luck!!!

Thanks! I haven't decided whether I will be staying in or getting out. Hmm...I probably should get the heck out lol. I still have both IFT's for the month so I can get back in later on.

Come to the Dark Side MaStA. WooooHaaHaa

I'm going to ride out the weekend in the S fund...screw it. The more I mess with it to try making the right moves the more I go negative it seems. I'm going to guess we will have a strong rally in the near future. (or I can hope at least haha)

Another day like today and I will be out of my negative hole...I can't wait to be positive again even if it is .01% lol

I wish the best of luck to you MaStA. Hopefully tomorrow can be one of those rare days were everyone makes money.

Yeah...I know my Roth IRA has been making a little cash. It only has three stock positions, but a little adds up I guess. :)

That's AWESOME!! Congrats. In the AF, is that considered a SNCO? How many years now?

MSgt (E-7) is where the SNCO ranks start in the Air Force. I have been in 8.5 years now which may sound like a long time to make E-6 in branches like the Army and maybe Marines, but I am well below the average for making it in the Air Force. Average time in service for making E-6 is 10.58 years. Thank you for the congrats guys!

Pure awesomeness! I don't think 8.5 years is that long at all. In the Marine Corps (depends on MOS), I think the average is closer to 9-10 like you mentioned for the Air Force. You're on your way to MSgt around the 12/13 year mark.
