AMERICA’S TRIBUTE

BENSON’S ECONOMIC & MARKET TRENDS
Written and published by Richard Benson, http://www.sfgroup.org

The ruling family of Saudi Arabia controls 25 percent of the world oil reserves and is completely dependent on oil revenues for its survival.

This is incorrect to say that the ruling family is COMPLETELY dependent. The King and family have invested in a number of european, asian and american ventures. If the last drop of oil came tommorrow, Saudi Arabia would certainly feel the impact, but survive on their many investments. They are not a bunch of goatherders anymore.

could be wrong here but most who write on this theme seem to think that if the energy driven economies of the world were to fail because of high oil prices the only safe places leftto investwould evaporate.

hence....the price of oil and the revenue from it creates a big vicious circle of globalized investments. bluesky i did not see the article portraying the saudi's as goat herders at all. (wish they stillwerethough ;))

the words " completely dependant" should of been chosen better by the author. oh well....just another one of my cut and paste jobs...lol:D

just found this def. 4 globalization:

INTERNATIONAL THINKING AT ITS BEST!

Question: What is the truest definition of Globalization?

Answer: Princess Diana's death.

Question: How come?

Answer: An English princess

with an Egyptian boyfriend

crashes in a French tunnel,

driving a German car

with a Dutch engine,

driven by a Belgian who was drunk

on Scottish whisky, (check the bottle before you change the spelling)

followed closely by Italian Paparazzi,

on Japanese motorcycles;

treated by an American doctor,

using Brazilian medicines.

This is sent to you originally by an Englishman,

using Bill Gates's technology,

and you're probably reading this on your computer,

that use Taiwanese chips,

and a Korean monitor,

assembled by Bangladeshi workers

in a Singapore plant,

transported by Indian lorry-drivers,

hijacked by Indonesians,

unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen,

and trucked to you by Mexican illegals.....

That, my friends, is Globalization
