General Commentary:

Well September started out with a bang, shot in the foot, that is! All of my indicators were point to the bearish side, sort of following the fundamentals of one sour note after another. Someone has to be able to play a different song.

A look at the chart(s)
The S&P500 [$SPX] Daily
Large Caps

Charts courtesy of www.StockCharts.com

The 50d E-moving average was bearish and trending lower.

The P-SAR returned to a bearish trend.

Bollinger bands were widening, indicationg volatility.

The S-STO was at 22.64 about to enter oversold conditions.

The MACD was declining, indicating a bearish position.

Well, that's it for the weekend!

Be careful out there!

Boy, the Nasdaq is sure struggling, particularly the Nasdaq 100. Not usually a good sign for the rest of the market. If this rally in the S&P holds today, I don't think it will last much longer than that.

Here's hoping the Fannie/Freddie bailout will deliver a different tune.....:o

After yesterday's rally, todays drop and what's basically been a roller coaster of these ups and downs for the last several months, you wonder how the Wall Street traders can be so skittish. I mean look at how they overreacted to that old story about a airline that was ~6 years old. Any drop of news either good or bad sends them into a tizzy. What's up with that?

The support level on S&P isnt' till 1200. I don't think it will break below 1200 this time, but it might.

Down we go.

They know that this is a bear market but the acceptance that easy money is over has not occurred. There's HOPE and where there is hope, there is susceptability to rumors.

The market we are in is a reflection of how EMOTIONS are governing trading. I expect that we will see an end to this near the end of 2009 or the beginning of 2010. Time will tell. Currently sitting in F missing the rallies but not adding to my stress level by wondering if the Bull market has restarted. Waiting for 2011 or three months of strong bull market news. PC is the key.

Thanks for reflecting my heart. Very well put.

The photo below captures a disturbing trend that is beginning to affect wildlife in the U.S.

Animals that were formerly self-sufficient are now showing signs of belonging to the Democrat Party... as they have apparently learned to just sit and wait for the government to step in and provide for their care and sustenance....:)

Getting hooked on that Government Cheese is a hard habit to break.

I now know that Spaf wouldn't sit for three years next to a terrorist like Nobama did. William Ayers with the Weather Underground set bombs. Ayers turned himself in to authorities in 1981. His case was dismissed on a legal technicality. Former President Bill (Cigar) Clinton, during the last days of his administration, commuted the sentences of two Weather Underground members, including Susan Rosenberg, who was involved in the 1981 heist of a Brinks armored truck in New York that left two policeman dead. No appeasement or bowing down with weakness this time - vote for the Elephant.

Will be closing out this week, see you next!
Thanks for all the views and replies!
