Exactly and that is my point. The tax code can either be reformed or we can increase taxes. Either way we must increase government revenue and we all will ultimately will pay more and get less. The price we pay for our politicians inability to live within a budget for decades.

Corporations don't pay corporate income tax, the consumer does. Every time you raise the corporate income tax you raise the price of the end product, cars, carpet, lumber, food, energy, insurance, durable good, etc.

I personally don't think we have a revenue problem (although I am all about simplifying the tax code) as much as we have a spending problem...

Sears used to be the BEST, "Sears Has Everything". Mom and Dad swore by them and they were good, but have lost some of the value that made them so good over the years. They still have a life time guarantee on their hand tools though!

Among the more memorable slogans was ``Sears has everything,`` used from 1969 to 1972, and ``Sears, where America shops,`` used from 1974 to 1978.
Among the less than memorable was one used in the mid-1980s, ``There`s more for your life at Sears.``
The latest campaign, prepared by Ogilvy & Mather Chicago, emphasizes Sears` commitment to its customers.

What about you? I'm on vacation, you're retired. LOL My internal clock will not let me sleep past 0500 very often. I have a full week planned, the big one is blowing another 6 to 10 inches of insulation into my attic and getting a car licensed for my son. Insulation is cheaper than electric and gas.

A BIG storm came through about 5AM and woke me up, winds about 35 MPH and raining like the devil. Usually if I wake up I can't go back to sleep so here I am. Insulation, when I bought this house it had an extra 8 or 9 inches blown over the Bats in the attic, there is some settling after 15 years but still looks like a winter wonderland. This is a perfect time of the year to tackle that job.

Sear's had very little competition back then. You went to Sear's to get quality stuff. They sold just about everything you needed for the house.
