Which TSP option/s did or will you choose upon Retirement?

Lbound, If I am correct, you will be retiring as a LEO? I guess you are one of the special groups that can work without worrying about exceeding the supplemental insurance until you reach your MRA. For regular retirees like us, we have to watch the earnings threshold.

Correct. Sorry about that, I was speaking as if everyone here is in the same situation. I forget that this is a big world and a forum with quite the diverse group.

Continuation of thread #20 -My path to Retirement

Just received my annuity estimate and that of spouse. Not getting much after 30+years of service.

If you are reading this, please understand that I am not bragging (there's not much to brag), just felt the need to share in case somebody has some suggestions regarding the mix.

From age of retirement to age 60: Total $7300
Combined annuity: $3300/month
Conservative combined SRS Estimate: $1500
Combined TSP monthly withdrawal: $2500

From age 60 to 62: Total $7300
Annuity: $3300+
SRS: $1500
TSP: $1400
Military pension:$1100

Age 62 - 66: Total $7500
Annuity: $3300+
SS: $1300 (only one us will claim)
TSP: $1800
Military pension:$1100+

Or
Age 62 and up: Total $7900
Annuity: $3300+
SS: $2800(both claiming at 62)
TSP: $700
Military pension:$1100

Ravensfan, how are you able to post in your thread account a spreadsheet like format?

When you are in the forum looking at different threads and you select "+Reply to Thread" (top left) or reply to someone's post by selecting "Reply" or "Reply With Quote", a window will open where you type your reply. Bottom right of this window gives you the option to select "Post Quick Reply", "Go Advanced" or "Cancel". When you select "Go Advanced", you will have the ability to work with tables...just like it shows in the picture that Frixxxx posted.

It doesn't work on my iPhone but it works on my MacBook. But I am not very talented with my iPhone so perhaps it works for others.

Sorry Frixxxx...

I don't know why I don't see the option you guys are talking about- even on my regular PC. I only see "Post Icons" and "Additional Options"

Go to "Settings" on top right of your screen and select "My Account - General Settings"

Then scroll down to "Miscellaneous Options - Message Editor Interface" and make sure "Enhanced Interface" is selected. Then save your changes (bottom right). That should take care of it. :D

I got your PM, maricar19, but it looks like you're in good hands here.

Thanks, jpcavin and Frixxxx!
