Post Order Problem

FROM LAKEBOUND'S POST BELOW:

"I guess that I am simply trying to determine the clean end of this turd with which to pick it up."

Frank

LIKE!

I guess I don't know what I'm doing anymore! My Like button for a post is gone! I tried to "reply with quote" and I only got "reply"

and lastly, when I pull up a thread I realize that I'm looking at the oldest posts first in a thread and I don't know how to change it.

"I'm a one row tractor in a twelve row tractor world"

A friend of mine whose dad was in his late 80s at the time said, " After a man gets a certain age you ought to just take him out behind the barn and shoot him cause he ain't no longer good for nothing"

Am I there yet? :wall:

Yeah, but how do I fix it so that it stays that way? Where the most recent posts show upon opening the thread? You know.......Like it used to!!!

clester, sorry to hijack your thread!

Click on the double arrow icon by 'last post' and you are taken to the most recent post in the thread.

Go to your settings>general settings>
Scroll down to: Thread Display Mode: Choose Linear - Oldest First

Re: clester's Account Talk

have to be actually logged in for it to go to the latest/newest post, otherwise it goes to the oldest/first ever post.

Re: clester's Account Talk

I set mine to View 40 Posts, Linear to Oldest and it opens threads at the bottom on the newest post and the older posts above that, that's the way I like it!

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem, but when I view the premium threads they load oldest posts first or in other words, at the top... Got my attention a few times thinking I was missing signals and out of sync because I did not notice the comments were from 2011. The standard general public posts seem load correctly... latest post at the top.

Re: Post Order Problem

Ok, I can change the post from newest to oldest and vice versa "within" the page but it still opens up on the very last page. I have to manually select the first page. Am I missing something or is this still an ongoing problem for the rest of you?

I know something has changed, and I'm looking for it, but why it works correctly for some folks and not others is baffling.

Re: clester's Account Talk

Tom's getting it all back together, with some improvements! Good Job TOM!!!!!

Re: Post Order Problem

Here is what is happening for me based on your example.
post order prob.jpg
Clicking on TSP Talk’s Account Talk takes me here:
post order prob1.jpg
Clicking on Market Outlook takes me here:
post order prob2.jpg
Of course this is slightly different due to more posts since you posted the screen shot. Note post #2182
Clicking on the double arrow to the right of Market outlook takes me here:
post order3.jpg
The arrow is taking me to the first page of posts in the thread. When I hover the cursor over it the link says post 497521 but the link doesn’t take me there.
I have no idea if this helps or not but you have been getting a lot of info about this problem and sometimes it helps to step back and look at a specific instance.
Win 8.1 using Google Chrome v42.0.2311.90 m. Same thing on the iPad using Safari.
