You'd probably enjoy Virginia Lanier's SAR bloodhound series, set in the Georgia swamps. Tough stories, excellent atmosphere-setting on tracking environment and hound-handling. She raises them for real, in Georgia Okeefenokee country. Reason I asked about climbing. Member of extended family lives in Tacoma area, King County SAR and body-recovery on Rainier among his other climbing activities.

He's probably part of Mountain Rescue in King County. We've searched with them before in Snoqualmie National forest. I'm on Kitsap Pennisula. We go to the Olympics more than Rainier.

Lady, thank you for stopping by and brightening my home. Please feel free to stop by anytime.

For the many new people. I am also rather new, but all are welcome here.

Thanks justbizness45's,

I enjoy your post's and you are quite a welcome person..Thanks for letting me post here. :)

Things are tough out there. -5.16% in 2 days. I'm still 50C/50S with 1 IFT left. Futures are down and the technical analysis I've looked at, 3 so far, are still calling for more of a possible drop or a possible rally. With the governments hand in the cookie jar the technicals aren't worth much. I was expecting a pop up this week after the beating last week but am not as confident now. I am thinking about changing my stock exposure from 50/50 C/S to 100C based on the credit lockup. Small businesses are probably having a hard time getting credit (I saw this on someone elses thread but I don't remember who to give credit to). I would appreciate any thoughts from other members on the validity of a strong "S" bounce or not.

To be honest I am new to the whole MB thing. This is the first one I have ever been on. I didn't realize some don't want people posting without being invited until I noted a conversation on the thread today saying this MB is very different than most. :embarrest:

And I have to agree it is different than most. I post on 2 other sites but not to the extent of this MB.

People are nice, and understanding here...:)

I hope in my ignorance I haven't offended anyone by posting on their thread without asking. :worried:

 A trend has started on this site with people calling their account talk thread their home. They've also been saying things like, "Thanks for stopping by" or "Thanks for letting me post here."

There is no rule about asking for permission. I think poolman was just being polite. :D

Thanks Fabijo. I was just curious if other sites were different about posting. I have felt welcome since the first day I posted here.:D

BravoSierra, interesting handle. Welcome to the MB. :D

Thank you for the welcome, the name made me smile when I thought of it- since it works on at least a couple of levels.
I'll try not to make the obvious one too literal!

Getting kind of tired of getting my butt kicked. 3 days and I'm down 9%. I feel that we are due. Everything is oversold, lowest prices in four years. Eveything is bargain basement at this point, GM-8.48 it was 43.80 a year ago, coke 41.62 was 64.19 a year ago. The list is huge. Record amounts of cash is on the sidelines. The VIX broke 50, there is blood in the streets. What more do they need!!!

BRING ON THE BEAR RALLY. DON'T MISS THE TRAIN!!!

I feel your pain buddy, and I sure wish I had boat loads of cash to buy cheap stocks... :p

I got my ticket JB45, lets take it to the Bank. Uhhhhh, the one that's still
open for business. That should be easy, I think there are only a few left.

Just gotta make sure they are on the "Friends of Paulson" list and then you know they are backed by the FDIC and the Sec Treasury.
