Thank you for your service, brother.

Wishing you much success in your future investments.

My #1 piece of advice: Sock away as much as you possibly can to get your retirement account built up as quickly as possible.

Good luck,

JR

Just got on board with the DoD at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA. My 2nd day of inprocessing the hiring freeze went into effect. I'm a workload forecaster in the Strategic Planning Department. Thrilled to be here finally after applying for over 2 years.

Background - 7 years in the Army. 23 months total in Iraq between Jan 2004 and Oct 2006. Med-boarded in 2008. Information systems Analyst while in uniform. Graduated UW with a business degree in 2012 and am now here.

Really excited to have a career instead of another crappy job and really hope to take the advice/knowledge of the people here to build a retirement account I can hopefully use one day. Only 30 years old now so not 100% convinced we'll have a government capable of paying retirement/bills/pensions when I'm finally old enough but gonna try anyway.

can't wait to get on a leader board!
