JTH's Account Talk

JTH
with you going all in that tells me there is fairly good potential to be had. i have been in taking the punches and try n to rope a dope. its really appalling that we only have half a day to trade and most of the action in in the latter half of the afternoon. The TSP board is doing us a great disservice with this half day trading. they limited our trades to 2 a month, they should at least give us a full day to make that trade like the rest of the world.
I'm in, follow me at your own peril...

I do not understand the market. Might be the reason I have lost big bucks in mostly S and some in C . Since I have not used any IFTs should I move the contributions? what about the alloocations? I also lost a little in I, 2040 and 2030

Biotech is now in bear market territory - stay with your S fund and simply absorb your pain. You'll want to dollar cost average now in both the S fund and C fund - save your money out of the 2040 and 2030 funds and only own the C and S funds - then take a siesta for a couple of years. Now is the time for you to accumulate your base and that takes time and contributions - learn before you begin to churn. The more downside the better off you'll be - but don't count on much more downside. As the bull market continues you can still accumulate shares, just not as many because the prices are rising. You obviously have time on your side, so selling at a loss should not be your option - just buy more shares. And when you achieve at least 20,000 shares of any fund you'll be ready to trade and have the potential to make serious gains.

We had a very strong rally in the last hour yesterday - why not again today? That would get some technician attention.
