JTH's Account Talk

S&P at 1868 now. W^4500 up 1.1% . I like what I see. C'mon free willy, gain me back those unrealized losses and more!!!!

The shorts really got squeezed today along with a very tight bully patch. Let's see a 200 point Dow open in the morning.

You think that adds fuel to the bearish fire?

I think the markets did exactly what they were supposed to do, retracing 50% of the recent downside and filling in the gap. Today put in a strong move but as I said in the S&P 500 Past Performance thread, I expected a 2% move over these past 2 days, so this is not surprising to me. I need to take a nap, I'll post some stats for Thursday & Friday later tonight.

For your entertainment, here's a theoretical head & Shoulders pattern (yet to be formed) which takes us to 1775 and fills the gap.

I agree. By the end of tomorrow, we'll have an idea if the market is heading back upwards or if this was just a bounce.

You won’t believe your bank’s newest fee

"banks are adding verbiage to their checking account fine print that prevents customers from suing the bank individually or as part of a class-action lawsuit"

"But perhaps the most surprising fine print is the loss, costs and expenses clause. This essentially requires consumers who pursue a claim against a bank to pay the banks’ expenses — even if the consumer wins the claim."

Alright folks we need some good news, so I'm going to give it to you.

I have officially been self-inducted into the post-whoring hall of fame, I can now retire and rest on my laurels...

"Don't be surprised to see a close below 1840..."

If it stays on its current trajectory... 1800?

jth, can you do a quick Russell charting with support line? Or just give me the next major support, thanks.

Dependent on which long-term trendline you use, it's about another 1.5-2% drop to test support.
