JTH's Account Talk

It's an Elon Musk rocket ride and is now just reaching its normal trajectory - sweet. SPX 1900 can't be far off - maybe by the end of the week.

JTH,

How much longer are you going to sit on that potty? Even our distinguished friend amoeba has 20% working for him.

Been a busy month, had not had time to come aboard.

If I had stuck with JTH last month instead of getting happy feet, I would be far more ahead. That said, I did a round trip, went in yesterday to L2050 and out today to the G Fund and now draw my interest for the rest of the month. I will take that kind of return all year long.

No, I am not in a happy place, I am ashamed of my performance this year. I am in a bad place, I need a win like Amoebe needs an IFT...

I feel your pain. I got out during the "correction" in January and have been sitting in the G fund watching. If the market went down again today, I was going to put some funds in. With the S&P at 1874 its hard to jump in. You would think that it would pullback a little. I know it did yesterday, but I mean 3 or 4% pullback. I didn't think the market would have risen as much as it did today. Oh well.

I enjoyed this statement, then compared your annual return to JTH's. Ehem. Birchtree, how much longer are you going to wear that albatross around your neck? (I fund) I know, I know...

What do you think about ACPW? I was thinking of buying a big chuck of this back in December when it was at 3.15. Not so sure not that it dropped below MA(50)

Missed the boat on BLDP :(

That wasn't a boat, that was a rocket!!!

As for ACPW it looks like sellers are in control on the weekly chart, with 3 red candles with lower highs. I don't know if you look at fundamentals or are looking to occupy the space and how long you are willing to hold it. For me, this one doesn't have enough daily volume (for stocks in this price range I like to see at least 200K daily.) This one does have some occasional long-tailed candlesticks. For a stock like this you may want to set a trailing-trigger about 15-20 cents below current price. Eventually the trigger gets filled and if you're fortunate you get to grab the tiger by the tail and ride it up (citing the yellow circled examples.)
