JTH's Account Talk

holy moly look at that spike!
Spike doesn't look that much different than the 7th, 4th of Feb, or the 24th of Jan. Seasonally, the end of Feb, the market is likely to rocket up, giving Feb as big a gain as Jan, almost. I'm not getting out in any big way till sometime May, maybe. SPX 1700 end of the year. Some called the SPX yesterday to climb to 1530 and we were right. That will be the support soon. Happy investing friends.

You are fine guy. It's always better to be wrong calling the top and lose some gain, then to be wrong and get caught for loss like I usually do.
Hmm maybe I shouldn't of posted this. You look great now JTH. Let me know if you buy on this dip so I can see if this Dip should stay in.:embarrest:

I've been out all day working in my yard - this consolidation is healthy and most likely won't be deep.

I'm not in so although I feel for anybody that is in right now, a little more depth will get me back in, so.....

Here is hoping for the best for all of us. Somehow.

You may have just called it a little early. I and a lot of others could get a hurt if we don't get a bounce real soon.

Well I've been the first to say I don't pick tops very well, I've always tried to play the middle.

Sorry I wasn't able to post throughout today's action. Here is an outlook of what you should be prepared to expect if a pullback were to occur. From Tuesday's top, it's a -5.3% drop to the 50SMA & a -11.8% drop to the 200SMA. I'm not saying it's going to happen, it's just a perspective.

JTH...I am just trying to chart out a ways and I want to point where we were before QE3. Any idea where the SnP was?

Based on current conditions, I don't see enough data to convince me to jump back in the markets.

I thought for sure you would get in today. I hope 1500ish is the new floor!

Too much damage, not enough recovery, it's not my setup. I'd rather wait for a definitive bounce & confirmation, then get back in. I don't have to be perfect, just right :)

I'm more of a cynic myself but I appreciate your striving for perfection:D
