JTH's Account Talk

Nice move!

I jumped ship to G after only taking 2 days of losses.
I was more heavily invested in I fund and didn't lose anything the first day and minimal lost the next 2 days.

Was thinking about buying in yesterday but it was well after the IFT deadline...

let's see it ride!

Possible double-tap meaning I'll may make the hasty exit I mentioned in my previous post.

Tough call to make. Based on where I'm at, the easy & proper thing to do would be to take the gains

Man I'm too greedy to risk leaving anything on the table with this bull market getting ready to kick up some dust. The approaching strength may make heads spin. Can't you feel it - the shaking of the ground as the bull herd thunders forward. Be in to win.

Double-tap

I'm not a hero, nor do I desire to be a risk taker. I'm here to make money and stay out of the markets as much as possible. It is what it is, I realize some folks might be dispointed I didn't stick around. It's nothing personal it's just bussiness. For the rest of the month I get to relax and provide inputs to the forum, without an agenda, with pure focus on prices.

As Steve Miller puts it (Go on take the money and run.):)

I posted in my reply before reading your thread; you may get a terrific exit point today (assuming we can avoid the afternoon swoon). The heck with those that may be dissapointed, you are on the leader board brother...top 10 out of over 700. Stay active with your posts, I may be looking for an exit point soon and value your input.

At this point in the day it appears the nature of the markets have changed beyond my expectations. This will be 2 days in a row we've had strong opens, then a weak finish after the 1200 IFT deadline. That makes for a difficult market to trade within the short-term.

From the little bit I've seen this midday decline was all Greece related. So, it would seem the question is "Is the rumor true"? If it was it will be no fun on Monday and you made a great move today, if it was just a nasty rumor then it would seem the strength we saw this morning might persist and next week would be more fun. But what do I know?

JTH,

If I were you I'd keep an eye out for jpcavin and rube - they'll likely be on your back porch within the next three weeks.

Input is always good, you may even help me when I make my move.:)

I don't understand the fast trade in and out. Just trouble with nerves?

My sentiment exactly, and according to what I was reading on several sites it is almost an impossibility that this will happen because the bailouts were designed to keep Greece in the euro. Im about %90 certain it is only a rumor, which means Monday should be an up day. If it is I will probably take my gains and run Mon or Tue. Good luck all.

Nope, it was planned to be a quick trade (I made note of it in last nights Performance Report.) I'll end up falling short of my 1% target, but it will be a .60%ish 1day trade for the month. The trades execution was perfect, the gain on the trade was not.

Funniest thing I ever heard since I only dropped 50 spots on the tracker! There's money to be made in comedy. Is that your next move, Birch?:laugh:

jp,

You are in a good position to make gains - there are plenty of heavy S funders up ahead that I believe will faulter to the wayside with underperformance allowing those with light S fund allocations to move on up like the Jeffersons. Now is the time to exercise patience and allow the market to make it right. You'll see....

Been doing this for just under 3 months. Just learning the ropes. I can only hope and trust the wisdom of other more seasoned investor on this board. However, I hope that deluxe apartment in the sky doesn't come too soon. I'd like to enjoy my money first. :D
