jpcavin's Account Talk

When I was younger every time I told the wife the kitchen was on fire she would respond - let it burn, I'm not moving. You'll just have to figure it out.

Thank you Scout.

Well, I had an extinguisher, I had baking soda and I had lids. Apparently nobody that came to mind at the moment required. I guess you could say I was dumb struck :D

Just now seeing this thread, but I too am glad you're all okay jp. You got the most important thing done which was getting you and the child to safety.

insurance might not pay for the upgrade, but maybe you could convince the electrician to install a 'the beavs' auto disconnect while they're fixing things up. stove on, internet off. like a safety valve or something. or else just do what i do and cook exclusively by microwave, there's lots of healthy options these days, they've even figured out how to make frozen pizza come out crispy.

Thanks. I got it figured out. I'm getting a Fry Daddy. No more oil on the stove.

Glad all is well...my grill has a deep fryer. That way it is all outside. I had a fire one time and i did"just let it burn". Just another option for you to think about.

Thank you Plano, mcglives, NASA,

Everyone just wants me to sign over the insurance check and they'll "take care of everything" for me. <sigh>
It's going to be a long painful process.

Hola Sis !

I'm in Lima, Peru and wanted to post a pic of the #1 soda and la cerveza of Peru.
I haven't tried the Inca Kola, but la cerveza is good. The color of la soda reminds me of of the color of urine when you take a bunch of vitamins. :toung:

I'm on my way to the airport to take a 2 hr. flight to Iquitos and then a 25 mile boat ride up the Amazon to a place in the middle of the rainforest. No wifi or electricity where I'm going. The only important items I need are
mosquito repellant and my 'steripen' to zap the water. Oh, and my camera. Other than that I'll be chewing on the cacao leaves to keep me........happy? (jk)

Adios, chica!

Is anyone buying AMD at these prices or too risky? I sold my position at $5.44 but was thinking of buying in again...

Looks like it could go lower into the 3.XX where some support lies, but there is a gap above to be filled. I'm an Intel fanboy, so no AMD support for me. :D

This looks pretty good for PEIX Pacific Ethanol, Inc. Reports Record Fourth Quarter and Year-End 2013 Financial Results Nasdaq:PEIX
However, the gains today are going to give me a heart attack. Does anyone have an opinion on when they would consider taking profits if they owned this stock? Key word...."Opinion"
Thanks

I would, move the money on to something else... This stock could just as easily drop below 11 (upper BB) as go higher... but I am a chicken.

Heck, at the very least, sell some to lock in some profits. Pretty oversold chart much higher than the BB and the 20 MA... IMHO

Hi jp -

Nice move. I'd put a stop somewhere between 8.00 and 9.50. The bottom of the gap should provide some support, and the January high might also - so depending on how much room you want to give it.

As far as selling to take a profit and not using a stop... As they say, you never go broke taking a profit. That gap will want to get filled at some point so taking a little off the table here with the intention of maybe buying some back near 10.00 may work.

Good luck!
