Moving to 100% I Fund.

1) US markets are in positive territory...
2) US$ showing signs of weakening...
3) OS markets are oversold...
4) EbbTracker is moving in...

That's enough reasons for me! GL! :)

Apparently, I'm living in some bizarro, inverse world!

Going back to the G today and hope for a +FV. :suspicious:

Due to the -27 FVC, that move didn't make me any money.

Anyhoo, I moved to the F Fund today. I'll be ready to move into the US markets - probably the S Fund - in the near future.

It was nice to make some money in the US markets today. (I failed to mention here that I moved to 25% F, 25% C, 50% S yesterday.)

I moved to 25% G and 75% I today. Hopefully, the I Fund will follow the US markets tonight and have one more positve day. The foreign markets are still oversold while the US markets have more or less caught up.

The F Fund may have topped out for the moment, so if I go to safety tomorrow the move will be to the G Fund.

I agree with 12% that 50% S and 50% I is a good, medium-range plan. Those two funds are where the money will be made IMO after (if) we get some level of a retest. This will be my new plan when the time comes.

Thanks to Tom for mentioning TSPLookup in his market comments this morning. And thanks to all users who are using it and have donated! You folks are great!

:)

I moved 100% S today.

I'll have an updated TSPLookup with major changes and improvements posted some time this week! Watch for it!!! :)

I was away from the office all day, and I finally come in and immediately run TSPLookup and... WOOHOO!!! A BIG day for the S FUND!!! I like it!!! :D

I'm going to lock in this months' profits and move 100% G. I'll recap my financial month tonight (it was good one!)

(I just need to vent! Feel free to ignore the below.)

I've had a stressful week! My job has been eliminated and today is my last day in this position. Don't know where I'll be domiciled on Tuesday. I've applied for four different positions but haven't heard anything as of right now. Waiting for an email, but some fools have jammed up the email servers with spam (I've deleted over 1000 unread emails in the past three days.) Updated TSPLookup and messed it up. (Did you ever look at a piece of code and wonder what idiot wrote it - and then realize you wrote it. NEVER delete code if you can't figure out its purpose!) I own(ed) one desktop computer and two laptops. The desktop and one laptop crashed and burned this week. The remaining laptop is a better doorstop. So, I had to pop for a new laptop - $700 out of pocket. ... There, I feel somewhat better.

Man, Jayhawker, I hope next week turns out better for you. At least you did pretty good on your TSP account (fingers crossed).

Jayhawker, Thanks for all your efforts and the best of luck getting a new position. I'm sure it will open up for you. Have a good burger and a beer on me. And thanks again, your spreadsheet is really helpfull:D

Thanks guys for the kind words and positive vibes.

I just had an interview and it went well. I should have the decision Tuesday. I don't need to know where to report Tuesday because I'm going to Norman OK on that morning and will be back Thursday night.

I'm definitely having a beer or two tonight (AFTER I update TSPLookup.) :)

Just remember that when one door closes another one opens - and you may actually be better off. Think positive and remain forward looking because you will be an asset to another employer.

Thanks Dennis.

I'm still going to have a job with the USPS, I just don't know what level, position or where. Change is difficult but many of us here have been through it before. I know everything will work out okay. After all, they can't FIRE me, only RIF me. :)

Jayhawker,

Sorry to hear about your postition. With your Excel skills you could find a GS position in the DC area easily. You could be responsible for getting rid of the fuzzy math inside the Beltway.
